Kurt and Angel

A friend of mine who is a big Angel fan told me Warren's middle name was Kenneth. I don't know if that's true or not ... just tossing it out there. :)

I hope no one upset you, Bamfchickie. I'm sorry about people calling your religion a cult. Call me Libs. :D Most everyone else does, and Bamfchickie always throws me for a loop. LOL! It's my LJ name, but no one calls me that online, so I always do a double-take when I see it. ;) "Bamfchickie? ...

Nightcrawler/Religious & Spiritual Discussion

As I mentioned before, religion is one of those topics I try to avoid at all costs, because differences in opinion often cause the "debate" (such as it is) to disintegrate into an exercise in cyclical logic. ;) Or in other words: "Is not!" "Is too!" "Is not!" ...

Whew! Take a few days off to get some writing done, and I miss all kinds of stuff! ;) I'm sorry I missed the end of the Mormon discussion, but I wanted to blow a kiss to everyone who responded with "Mormonism is not a cult." You expressed my opinion far more eloquently than I could have do...

Nightcrawler/Religious & Spiritual Discussion

I mean if you want to argue that way, you could argue that Christians are Jews because they believe in the God described in the old testament. Oh, I'm not arguing anything, actually. I simply asked a question: how does anyone determine who is Christian and who is not? Is there a set list of criteri...

Maelstrom, Mormons are not Christian, their doctrine is too far removed from Christianity to be considered such (regardless of what they claim). Out of curiosity, what do you consider the requirements for being considered Christian? I thought "Christian" as a catchall term meant any relig...

Alan in The Goodbye Girl

I've seen the anniversary Party and it is DAMN hilarious! Eh, I didn't like it so much, but that's just me. I felt like it was one of those movies with a lot of Hollywood in-jokes I just didn't get. LOL ... That said, the makeout scene with his wife in the beginning was sooo delish! I would not hav...

I believe I may be one of the only people that like Halle.
You're definitely not alone. I like Halle too. :) I can't say she's always done/said the brightest things, or even that all of her movie choices are necessarily good, but I think people are a lot harder on her than she deserves.

Wheeeeee! A new one! A new one! *bounces madly off the walls* As always, sheer perfection, you two! I've been so anxiously awaiting the next installment, I honestly did a double-take when I saw you had updated with a link. "Nooo ... can it be?? Is it ... ? Whoo-HOOOO!" Fabulous, dahlinks! :D

LOL! Yeah, being an Alan fan seems destined to wreak havoc with my movie choices. ;) I went to see ROTK again tonight with my sister. First, we pass a poster for the Garfield movie, and I mentioned that I'd heard a rumor that Alan was going to be in it. My sister was less than impressed. Our theater...

Most Likely Character

I'm going with the process of elimination here (since I have to agree - I think it far more likely that we might see Emma or some version of the HFC, since they're going the Phoenix route). As much as I would dearly love to see Gambit in X3, Singer has said on more than one occasion that he has no d...

Have you seen the trailer to 'Son of the Mask'? It's just....ugh. Horrid. Alan isn't shown, which just makes it worse. *le sigh* Yeeeeeeah, it looks pretty bad, I must admit. I had no idea Alan was in it, though. All I know is that a collective groan went up in the movie theater when that particula...

I'm 30. I read/collect UXM, NXM, UltX, Excalibur, Wolverine, and (no laughing!) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Lurves me some B&W turtles. :D Practically everything I purchase nowadays is for the purpose of completing my collection(s). At the moment I'm concentrating on UXM. I did rush to the com...

Nope, he's not chubby, but that picture just confirmed for me that he is so *not* sexy in any way.

That's good news! No offence to those who love movie Kurt, but I would much rather have a comic Kurt figure. I hope he will be in his classic costume as well. I'm guessing it will be, since all the Classics so far have been in the original (or mostly original) costumes. And that's wonderful!! All t...

My friend who really loved Colossus stopped buying them after he died!
I almost did too. LOL. Kurt was the only thing that kept me going. I sobbed like a baby when they killed Colossus.

What?! Stop looking at me like that! I get emotional, okay?! ;)

Trick or Treat, Halloween fic, part 3 - Finished.

Ohhhh, that was so completely, deliciously wonderful!!! Such a fine, fine job - it's so hard to write domestic stuff without it dissolving into syrupy-ness, but you did so beautifully! I think my favorite parts were Kurt putting on his old costume to "convince" his daughter, and then the f...

And I think that the fact that there are hordes of other Azazael-offspring running around takes away from Kurt's uniqueness. Also--this is a hell of a way to return Kurt to his old swasbuckling self; I'd tend to worry about having Azazael for a father, whether demon or biblical mutant. Thank you so...

No offense, but it is a historical fact that Gypsies have been known to steal.
Something to keep in mind, however: to the Rom, stealing from someone who is gadje isn't considered a sin.

Okay ... I think I would have to say his smile. There's just something so sexy about a guy with sharp little teeth and fangs like his. (And that's definitely referring to COMIC Kurt. LOL!)

But I can't imagine they put much thought into how it actually related to the character and his personality, it seemed to be just a knee-jerk response to not being able to get the fur to work out on-screen.
I couldn't agree more. So it's left to the rest of us to come up with logical reasons. LOL!

Oy! Just going with the ones I'm familiar with: 1. Comic Kurt, especially the Excalibur years and Claremont's run on UXM. Fun-loving, goofball, flirty, swashbuckling Kurt. Love it, love it, love it. :D I'm less fond of Ultimate for various reasons, but I still lump him in with comic!Kurt in general,...

'Cause Halle Berry's a big star, and Alan Cumming ain't?
True, but that doesn't necessarily mean Alan would have to take a back seat. Hugh certainly didn't when he was cast as Wolverine, and he was an even bigger nobody at the time than Alan is now. :)

Nightcrawler's sins

Actually, if I'm remembering correctly (I'm too lazy to get up and put on the DVD), he doesn't say that he has a tattoo for every sin he's committed. He simply says, "One for every sin." While that could mean exactly what you're implying, it could also mean that he has one for every sin &q...
