X-Force General Discussion Thread
Just wanted to say hi. Been gone for a year or so. Still hoping for Kurt to be used the way he should. I haven't been collecting as much lately. Which titles should I be buying to get my Nightcrawler fix?

Should Kurt leave the X-men?
Originally posted by Feuerstein Annnd I've made pro and con posts about the Nightcrawler series, but when it comes down to it, I loved it. Shame it got canceled. Was there ever a reason given for that? It was probably just lack of people buying it. *sigh* Actually, the story I heard was there were ...

In celebration of the finest friendship in X-men lore.
Originally posted by neling4 Twice, I believe. In the Uncanny Annual #4, then in UXM #472, In the First FourSaken arc part 1. Jamie Braddock kills Kurt and his teammates, then brings them back to life. What about UXM#406 where Kurt and Chamber are in the X-Jet when it explodes? I could have sworn t...

As you may already know...... Nightcrawler's appearance on the cover of the most recent issue is misleading. He is NOT investigating the Morlock tunnels with Storm and Warpath. That furry cat person from the Starjammers is, instead. (I can't spell her name) They said something about too many furry p...

Internet Dictionary of Unique Terms (in reference to canon)
Okay, so I was reading the old X3 board and came across a term I had never heard before ( character rape ) but I thought was quite appropriate to what we were talking about. It got me wondering... how many more of such terms are out there? I have one of my own and I thought it you would like to shar...

The Crappiness of X3
There were a couple of things I liked about X3: -the scene on the bridge where the mom locks the doors to "keep" Magneto out. He just gives her a look and smiles. -the multiple man. wonderful usage. -and the Pyro/Iceman fight. Everything else sucked to high heaven. No Nightcrawler? Killing...

I am still angry about MVP
But I am still anticipating the next issue. I hate that about Civil War and its tie-ins. I hate what they are doing, but I am compelled to read anyway. Hopefully the next issue comes soon.

Best comic I have ever read
Well, thanks for nothing, croc hunter. How was I supposed to know you were joking? I have never even played Doom, much less read a comic on it. (1st person shooters give me headaches) I did watch the movie, but it was lame, like a Resident Evil clone. G.I. Joe #21 still is the best comic I have ever...

Best comic I have ever read
Best comic I have ever read was G.I. Joe #21- the "silent" issue. Snake-Eyes, Storm Shadow, Scarlett, Destro, and no dialogue, no thought bubbles, and no plot boxes. Just pictures. Larry Hama is a friggin' genius. I was then that I realize what masters these guys are at their craft. To be ...

Yeah, this is an opportunity for Marvel to create some interesting new characters. And if they suck, they can always be killed off by friendly fire. :yell (Yes, I am still angry about MVP) But seriously, I thought this was going to be a revamp book. You know, take a somewhat lame character and revam...

Firebird's not immortal, she just has eternal life. ;) (One of the few outspoken Christian characters in Marvel) But you're right, that is a cast of castoffs. Just be glad that they are using this whole initiative thing as a springboard to create new characters, some of whom could actually be cool. ...

Top 10 Practical Superpowers
I was going off the marvel "healing factor=enhanced senses" that Wolverine and Sabretooth have. True, not everyone with healing factor gets enhanced senses. I see it now. Invulnerability means not having to worry about burning your hand in the oven. Or falling off the roof. Or getting your...

Where did you do your research? (I am curious about the Minnesota team-not excited, mind you, just curious) Or is it just that Texas is so big that they have started there? (Makes sense, I guess)

st john- don't knock the 'dillo. Sure, by himself he is a waste of space, like Rhino or Abomination, but in a team, he could be the strong guy, the "meat shield". Just so long as he doesn't do the thinking. ;) But honestly, it is more of the obvious Texas Tornado and some of these clowns t...

The worst part of Avengers:the initiative..... (SPOILERS!!)
1. I didn't like Gauntlet at all. Was he already in the Marvel U or did they create him for this? He is a joke. I know I have said I wanted more african-american (black) heroes, but come on! Is this the best you guys can do? He is like a black Sgt. Slaughter. And his "power" is l.a.m.e. Th...

Some powers are not practical
invulnerability- So you can't be hurt. So what? How does that help you in day to day life. Walk in front of cars? Jump off buildings? Pick fights with people bigger and stronger than yourself? At least with regeneration (healing factor) you get the enhanced senses like Wolverine's got. This power is...

My top five (most practical)
5. Telepathy- useful for playing poker, understanding your girlfriend, jedi mind tricks, ("you don't want to give me this ticket, officer") and knowing when people are lying to you. Unpractical side- everyone assumes you are reading or controlling their minds even when you are not. frequen...

Warren has always struck me as a very interesting character. His wings, his wealth, his insecurities. Since he is out of the current X-men line-ups, this would be a perfect time to do a limited series. Paige (Husk) could cameo. Since he is rich and can fly, the possibilities are endless for locale. ...

Angel's Wings? (possible spoilers for First Class)
:angel From the beginning, Warren's wings have always bothered me. In the sixties, Stan and Steve did allow the wings to just fold back and give a slight bulge like Warren is sloughing or something. But as the Uncanny X-men got new writers and new artists, the wings got bigger and bigger (to make th...

Why do you read?
For me, it is a combination of art and plot. If the art is good, it draws me in to page through a comic and then I am looking for something interesting. Either a scene or dialogue that piques my interest. Then I buy it. That how I got onto Civil War. I saw the art, it interested me, then I paged thr...

Nandireya, you are right. When I went back to look, it wasn't a rank, it was a designation. The third weapon X. But, does that mean he was there at Weapon X longer than Rogue, Juggernaut, and the others that attacked the mansion?

Can you blame them, Singe? If you were a government who needed to "eliminate" certain elements off the record and had access to a person of Kurt's abilities, wouldn't you try to use that to your advantage? Forget about the moral implications. Most governments in RL as well as in comics see...

MORE BAMFS!!!!!!!!
Teleportation is an awesome power. The uses for it, both in and out of combat, are too numerous to mention. So why does every X-writer treat them like they are an endangered species and only use one or two bamfs an issue? Kurt has been teleporting for over a decade now (in "Marvel" time) a...
