Does Marvel fear Nightcrawler?

Bored and necroing a fairly interesting thread here.... I tend to agree with what some others have stated -- Nightcrawler, as he had be written for some time before his death, was not an interesting character any longer. I still think one of the failings of the writers is to toss material, or develo...

An Argument For Argument's Sake: Why It Works That Kurt Is Dead...

Ult, correct me if I'm mistaken, but it seems you equate "light" with fluffy, funny, and not weighty. I'm thinking of it as much more like a side of The Force. Would you mind elaborating Angelique? Pardon the use of a Star Wars simile- though Nightcrawler confessed back it the day to bein...

Does Kurt's tail indicate his moods?

Like Angelique said, it depends on the artist, but yes it has been used by some to indicate his mood.

It was also implied back in Dave's era to be sensitive.

who would be your fave Nightcrawler and any X-women couple?

Well this is a difficult one, which is probably why he's only ever been portrayed in two relationships -- well one and a half because the Cerise thing really didn't get much attention, thankfully. (All my statements are referring to 616 MU.) I never liked the Amanda scenerio, because, growing up wit...

How should nightcrawler return?

Sadly, Nightcrawler has never had the pull to carry his own title. A better bet might have been to write him as a regular in the Wolverine title. Actually I'd buy that, as soon as I read that sentence my brain started waving its arms going "Ooooh!" and muttering: "a Buddy comic!!!&qu...

How should nightcrawler return?

I cannot say I find anything Marvel or DC has put out lately to be "astounding." Red Robin's been the only book from the big companies lately to garner better than a tepid response from me. See, Ult, you are not going to convince some of us because Nightcrawler is not, to us, just a chara...

How should nightcrawler return?

Finding out isn't difficult, but it isn't especially interesting ever. Given the choice between researching something really complicated and controversial and trying to work it into a story with a dozen other characters, or using a different character, what are most writers going to do? They have d...

An Argument For Argument's Sake: Why It Works That Kurt Is D

I agree with the concensus that, IF they bring him back, they should return him to a pivotal role. The route writers are going now really reminds me of a "resistance is futile you will be assimilated" situation. Everyone is dark and nasty with no deep thoughts or moral compass. The few tha...
