URGENT! Troy Davis

Though Georgia seems intent to kill a man who may be innocent anyway. There's next to no time left, but it's worth a shot: Stop the execution of Troy Davis Do I think this guy is innocent? I don't know. Do I think he's guilty? I don't know. But with the new evidence pouring in, it's not right to jus...

Pop Culture Update: Google+ Goes Public/Live!

I agree with a lot of the separation of what you surf and how it shows up in your Google, but there's two awesome points I have for that. 1) You're really the only one viewing your sparks, so it's the same as surfing anyways. Plus it strengthens Google's ability to suggest different groups/circles ...

How should nightcrawler return?

I realize I'm late to the party, but has anyone suggested he *not* come back for a while and spend some time in the underworld kicking Mephisto's caboose around town? What with all the talk about how he's 'attuned to magic' and how he's clearly got some potential to go super powerful (remember how ...

Pop Culture Update: Google+ Goes Public/Live!

Honestly, I have to say, I really don't mind Facebook's latest redesign. As someone who makes (part) of her living in in social media on Facebook, it certainly makes my life easier. And Facebook has had groups for a while now, and you've been able to post specific stuff to your specific groups for a...

Ahhh. I enjoyed them. I wish I had read up the past few months to see it all pan out. But I'm glad to be jumping back in now. Oy vey, T Potter was right!

The New 52: Green Lantern

Okay long story short (too late!) Johns intriduced the ROYGBIV emotional spectrum, the corresponding lantern corps & their avatars. Krona a renegade guardian collected the avatars and used them to seize control of the guardians & the Green Lantern Corps. During the melee that followed Mogo the plan...

The New 52: Green Lantern

Unlike you two, I know like, nothing about the Green Lantern aside from the basics. But I did read this in an effort to be open minded, and it seemed interesting, and I am curious what Sinestro has planned. I think Johns did a good job of explaining everything, I didn't feel lost or anything like t...

Eh, after the Google Buzz debacle, Google has a bit to do to gain my trust. Besides, everything you've described can be done on Facebook too. I'm not so keen on moving to a new social media site. I migrated from Friendster to MySpace to Facebook, and I just don't see the want right now for this. We'...

The New 52: Green Lantern

Hola WillPower! Welcome!

Can you give me a bit of background as to what's been happening in GL to lead up to this? I will agree that some of these books aren't as new-reader friendly as DC had originally purported, but at the same time I can see where they're going with it.

OH! Well, I wasn't inferring you needed it to pull in your gut ;). More for smoothing out the back and offering more support.

Dexter Discussion

I have been avoiding this thread because I am a season behind, but I wanted to just come in and comment on how much I love Dexter! It's such a fabulous show, and each season seems to really trump the one before it. The end of season 4 really did me in, and I can't wait to catch up - although I'm so ...

Very impressive! You know, I wonder if you picked up a pair of Spanx or something similar to put over the belted tail to help pull it in and give you more support? It may pinch everything too close, but then if you get a bigger size, it may be just enough?

who would be your fave Nightcrawler and any X-women couple?

He's a bit too much of a Mama's boy to get into a relationship so quick. Agreed. Although maybe he'll end up comforting Betsy after everything thats building up over in UXF :naughty You would want to see Kurt and Betsy together! Although, after the brief flirtations before his death, I don't think ...

The New 52: Green Lantern

As I've mentioned before, I'm a Green Lantern fan. I love the whole mythos, and specifically, I love Hal Jordan. Now, I will admit on picking this up, I have not read GL in about a year. So I am quite behind, but I found it wasn't too difficult to jump in here. And I LOVED IT. I loved what they are ...

Oh, as far as any kind of advice (other than my squeeing), I'd recommend checking out dance clothing websites to buy some basics, especially for Wanda. I bet you can get away with not having to sew a whole bit for her costume, just getting some leotards and the like.

So chilling with my main baby Brian, in a pinch I started watching this on Netflix during feeding, and now I know I will be watching it all day. My Big Three X-books

So I'm just starting to collect Excalibur and can safely say this is my favorite X-Book. The Giant Size Uncanny X-Men: First Class was great, and most of First Class was fun. Some of it was a bit hokey, but that's okay. X-Calibre is feeling more dated than some of Excalibur but it's still fun. I ha...

The New 52: Swamp Thing

That is very interesting. I am very intrigued by the inference that Swamp Thing is a product of a divergent branch of the evolutionary tree, and not a lab accident. Completely new and different take. But then, would this not also infer that there is a race of swamp things? And agreed on the T-Rex. T...

I am SO anti Gambit/Rogue. No one has managed to make that interesting in years. I've heard that he and Frenzy seem to be flirty, and I am on board! My biggest fear in seeing he and Rogue are in a book together is that they will put them back together. And after she has treated him, he would look li...

My buddy Bobby Ray <3's this movie. He has been telling me of it for months now. This is a whole series apparently and he is intrigued and wishes to get them all. Your friend has great taste. I need a quick overview

Emma named one of her gray hairs after him, IIRC. Aside from the grief pieces, that's the only other bit that comes to mind. Mystique mentioned his death, but not much got explored from her end 'cause she kinda got dead. Again. I remember that grey hair bit! Oh Emma. Classy as ever. And Kurt came u...
