Uncanny X-Men General Discussion

I have to admit I'm kinda echoing what Maelstrom has said about the Draco. There were parts of it I really liked then there were parts that I was just kinda 'shrug' about. For an arc that took six months to come out it just kinda seemed to fizzle out as it went along, like a balloon that starts off ...

I don't think New Mutants is going anywhere at the moment considering it's one of the only books being written aimed at females. Nunzio DeFilippis & Christina Weir have said they'll stick around as long as their sales stay pretty steady. Wolfsbane is going to join thier cast soon but the shake u...

Top 10 movies of all time

I'll never be able to to decide on just 10 so I'll read off the first 10 movies in my massive dvd collection since they're all part of my favorites anyway. 1. The Fellowship of the Ring (soon to be replaced by RotK I'm betting) 2. Jurassic Park 3. Star Wars (the originals of course) 4. Cannibal the ...

Yada yada yada... :P I don't know what to think of this whole mess. I love CC, but my problem is that I love classic CC and Davis. The stuff CC is doing now is good but it's not really that greatness of years gone by, plus the last time they tried to put CC back on Uncanny it really didn't work all ...

Picked it up Tuesday but have only had the chance to watch it once and browse the Nighty extras. Looks majorly sweet. Does anyone else think that Alan Cumming's Body Movement Coach was a little too enthusiastic though? (snicker)

Originally posted by BamfChyck Okay, so Bobby could pull out the water. That's good, it eliminates the whole jaundice look. But I'm not sure that everybody would have enough--wherewithall--to have the kind of volume Bobby would need to regain even his torso. That's a lot of water. I think it'd take...

Well.... Did anybody else happen to pick up issue two yesterday? What the first issue didn't do for me the second one did actually. I'm actually really starting to enjoy this series. If it keeps getting better each issue I'll continue buying it for sure. Even Kiden and Middleton's art is starting to...

Well the word on the street (or over at Comix-fan anyway. Glad to see they're good for something over there :rolleyes) is that the Marvel's Tsunami title's TPBs will be coming out starting in March of 2004. Interesting to see that several of the Tsunami titles will have hardcover collections, though...

Nice to have you here Lorna_Dane. Okay to answer your questions about the next couple of arcs, The Trial of Juggy that is going to be right after The Draco is a two part arc and after that is going to be a five issue arc called "She Lies with Angels" that is suppose to be a Romeo and Julie...

You know what I love about Claremont's writing? You can pick up any random issue and know exactly what is going on no matter if you know the 40 year history of a character or not. Thus being said I also am enjoying the Intifada arc a great deal. It really has that classic Claremont feel to it in dea...

That cover is Sal's (Salvador Larroca) work. He'll be making his Uncanny debut in issue number 437, if I remember correctly. 437 is the start of the "She Lies with Angels" 5 part arc. Sal said that it isn't Warren on the cover of 438 (though it kinda looks like a young Warren to me), no wo...

Here's my question, does anyone else think that it might be a good idea to break the kids up into some definite teams now? I mean ever since the new recruits showed up they've mostly been cameo shots and a lot of them had never even fought until this episode. This way you could give indivual teams e...

Well... [spoiler] the ending, even if I didn't think Leech's powers would work with Rogue, was a little bit too predictable. It made the whole thing seem sorta anti-climactical. On the other hand it was a really logical way to beat Poccy so you can't fault the writers there. Though why didn't they j...

Jill I'm gettin' the feeling you might be missing exactly why some people are upset. It's not because they don't understand what's going on, it's more or less that they do understand. they are JUST MUTANTS! they are POSING as demons. and by posing as demons a very long time ago, they were the cause of stories about satan and angels, hence the reason why it is the truth, despite them being *just mutants* biologically no different than the X-Men or any other mutant. Well that makes much more sense. It's about time Marvel jumped on the manga bandwagon anyway. Still no word on a New Mutants TPB though.... :hrumph It's such a good series, I wish they would promote it more as a regular X-title. I'm not sure why it was ever on the Tsumani titles in the first place.

Well cram it, and here I thought Marvel was learning something from the rising popularity of manga. Guess I was wrong. With decisions like this they're going to go into Chapter 11 again soon enough. CASTING THE NIGHTSCRAWLERS MOVIE

This is an easy one. Gillian Anderson from her early X-Files days would be a dead ringer for me if my hair was a bit shorter, plus she's a pretty good actress to boot so kudos there too. I should go back to the short hair look actually...long hair is so freakin' annoying. :P

Sevati your post is doing that weird text thing because you've the (/spoiler) at the end the quote but not the (spoiler) text at the beginning. [spoiler] Wouldn't it just be such a happy ending if they defeated Poccy and the whole world became accepting of mutants because of it? Nah. Don't really see it happening since mutant intolerance is pretty much the stable of the Marvel universe, even after 40 plus years. And as for Rogue absorbing L...
