I need some "honest" answers ...

Message original : DoomInABox I'm sorry I found your "different interpretation" to sound like a judgement on my personal life. I didn't intend for something I meant merely as an example to be an opening for criticism by someone who has never even posted to me before or let alone actually met me. I ...

That's not misunderstanding, as I see it. ... we were in classes together and sat together at lunch nearly everyday ... she'd give me advice on my artwork and we'd help e...

I need some "honest" answers ...

It seems so straightforward to say "Of course it's better to be honest than to lie." I believe that all brides and babies are beautiful by definition, so it's not lying to say so. But "honesty" is often used as a cover for "saying whatever you think, regardless of how harmful it is." Your friend has...

Nightcrawler/Religious & Spiritual Discussion

The official website on immigrating to Canada only mentions French and English, the two official languages of the country, so I'd assume those are the only ones they care about. There's an interactive test that lets you see if you're qualified to enter. Having a job already lined up counts for a lot...

Nightcrawler's sins

There's a robotics theory called the Uncanny Valley . Essentially, it says that when robots look kind of realistic, people respond well to them, and as they get more reaslistic, people like them more - but only up to a point . People respond worse to an almost-but-not-quite-right robot, or CGI model...

Uncanny X-Men General Discussion Reload

Originally posted by Jeremys Iron As for the writing, I don't feel like the Fury was very well explained nor did it come off as particularly frightening. Angelfire can be pissy about letting you link directly to images. If you cut and paste the URL into anothe browser window, it works fine.

This is a 1982 comic done in conjunction with the American Cancer Society to educate kids about smoking, so I doubt any effort went into placing it in continuity.

From the X2 novelization: The books were an unexpected mix. Religious works mainly, a well-thumbed Bible sharing space with a copy of Rafael Sabatini's Captain Blood and George MacDonald Fraser's classic pastiche, The Pyrates . I don't see Kurt as much of a reader - in general the kids who were out ...
