Dave Cockrum has passed away

I am still too shocked to say something useful...haven't been around for a while due to RL obligations, and now it's too late to say something. Dave not only touched my life with the characters he designed, but in an even more personal way with his being on this board as a real person...now I will h...

No nightcrawler in xmen 3

I know it's old, but not THAT old.....and the facts still stand. I don't care much for a cameo...:(

In Egypt, again

Hi Dave, hi Paty!

After a long hiatus because of the broken forum (and me drowning in work), I just wanted to know: Has the card ever arrived? If not, I'll try again next year!

Cheers,

Sandy

No nightcrawler in xmen 3

*sniffle* I come back after loooong months without Nightscrawlers (I had already given up on the poor forum :o ) and am happy to see it back for about five seconds...then I find this thread......ARGH. So I'll combine a quick "hey, it's me, the strange German linguist gal, anyone remember me?" with a...

I sure hope Paty can read the card...I had to cram so much stuff into so small a space, but I tried to write legibly! :D

In Egypt, again

Hi Paty, hi Dave!
I was in Egypt again for three weeks, and managed to write you another postcard....dunno if you remember me, I don't have much time anymore hanging around this forum...RL sucks sometimes.
But let me know if and when you get the card!

Paty's Vision of Lovliness

Yay, Paty! Go!
I laughed so hard I made one of my cats (not Mightily Endowed (tm) :D) flee from my lap....
I, unfortunately, have rather large....erm....thingies....and it's NOT something I would want to have if I could avoid it.

Dammit, People!

As a native German, I'm quite allergic to anyone being called a nazi...you know why. It's NOT something to take lightly, NOT EVER, and apart from that the mods'n' owners of this board totally rule. I'm currently a mod on another board and also get all kinds of crap....we had to ban someone who repea...

X2 DVD roll call

I got mine on November the 13 already...finally something GOOD in Germany..and I've watched it quite a lot ever since. Especially the Kurt bits, of course. And boy was I laughing my head off when the bit about Nighty's secret was revealed in "Nightcrawler Reborn"...

Retaliation will not be Tolerated!

I also stopped reading that board because of some of the comments over there....It seemed to me quite a lot of people didn't know how to spell "respect" - and I had to stop reading because otherwise my flaming sword persona would have taken over and probably been kicked off ComiXfan.... I've said it...

X2 in Japan

I sure hope a teeny weeny bit of the reason why we'll get two different sets of dvds is me... ;) I took part in a survey a while ago about whether one would rather buy a dvd with lots of extras or not...it was _specifically_ about X2.... Anyway, I got a DVD player that is region free (well, I _made_...

White House Soundtrack!*for real*

The whole track is actually a combination of parts of the Dies Irae in the Mozart version and a bit of "normal" soundtrack music....I'm sorely tempted to put it somewere hidden on my website. You may send me an email... ;)

Yeah, that was what made me curious...with Lord of the Rings, everyone knew there was more than one cd version, but this? btw, you don't have to read Russian for the page itself...that can be displayed in English. It's just for the application process which is in Russian.

Gay Superheroes

I love it when I get gay superheroes...but then I'm partial to that anyway. Though I'm still waiting for a real hot bisexual superheroine.... :D Northie, btw, is one of my all-time favourites. Not necessarily cause he's gay, but because of his rather acerbic wit :evil I once visited an evangelical c...

What's your first name?

I'm Alexandra. That's the only first name I got. We Germans aren't that much into middle names.... But I'd like to know all the funny German names you got from your ancestors...I *promise* I can pronounce all of them! My last name is Velten, pronounced "Felton" - and no one knows what it means or wh...

The thing in German is part of the rosary prayer where Mary is praised...

Actually, I heard Psalm 23 the first time when I was just a few weeks old...they used it when I was baptised :D (in German, that is)

kurtlover, maybe you got a different definition of pathetic than the rest of the world? ;) I love those sketches - the uniform is great! And one just has to fall in love with Kurt's body...you draw his body the same way I do...funny. If I get around to doing it I'll post my uniform design (complete ...

I'd love to see him moving.....what was one of the options? Jumping? Hehe....that would be a sight! :love

What kind of uniform will he get? The classic one or something else?
