So what is there to do in Germany?

Like....a boy named 'Kai', for example? :love Berlin. You'll find tons to do. If you like walking around, check out some of the neighbourhoods in the former East Berlin. Quite interesting in the differences between that and the former West, even now. Even just to soak up the atmosphere, it's fun to ...

Solo Series Wish List

I don't think there's a whole lot of Catholic superheroes out there in mainstream comics, where the Catholicism is as overt as Nightcrawler's. While there's millions of Catholics to look up to, and it's not a minority religion, I still find it kind of cool to see it in a comic book. His devotion to ...

Solo Series Wish List

Swords! Yes! Shiny shiny swords. My wish list? Keep his spirituality, but don't go overboard with it. It's obviously very important to him. And definitely keep it distinctly Roman Catholic, it's heartning to us Catholics out there to see a Catholic superhero. And please - no Communion wafers as thro...

Underpants???

In one Kai slash fic, the, uh, 'prominent' state of being for his member was blamed on rigor mortis.

I seriously needed to scrub my eyes after that. Many many times.

Uhm, yeah. Underpants. Kurt is so obviously an Underoos guy.

Underpants???

Right. This is wildly off-topic, but here we go. There's a SF show called 'Lexx', that lasted 3 years. Originally, they were a series of films, only to become a TV show later, showing on the Sci Fi Network. Premise: 4 fugatives steal a spaceship that also happens to be the most powerful weapon ever ...

1. Drastic Spastic - love the icon! Now, if only someone would write Kurt - Kai crossover slash....

2. I'm also voting for the dance belt. Tight, yet not revealing, and has padding to boot.

Kurt's favorite books

I'd think that a Catholic Missal (a prayer book with the order of the Mass and the bible readings for each week) would have a prominent place on his shelf. Especially if he couldn't get to a Mass in person.

Nightcrawler #1 - #4 disscussion

Darick Thanks for noticing. I've been talking to Roberto about Kurt's shoes, and hoping to get a line of dialogue and a panel or two about how he gets them and where they come from. Lord knows he can't just pop down to Payless. :LOL I also love the shoes! They almost look like they could be made of...

Nightcrawler Solo Series Speculations and Comments

Comic-con in Las Vegas over Halloween? Maybe I can make *that* one, as SDCC is out of my reach due to work. I'm coming late to the parade, but: 1. Yay! Solo series! 2. I like the cover. If the series is to be 'dark and creepy and mysterious', it fits that mood to a T. There's enough comics out there...

Thylacine,

You're right - I should have included that. I don't know if it would be considered a mental issue or a physiological one.

I'm going to hedge a bet and say 'No'. He's an adult. At some point, curiosity, raging testosterone, and an adventurous girl probably got the best of him, and he probably got some. With his background and working in close quarters with a population not exactly known for its normalcy (i.e. the circus...

Have you bought nightcrawler stuff on ebay?

I've only used ebay a few times, and it tended to be for really obscure items that I had a hard time finding locally, like krumkake makers (makes a type of Norwegian cookie called a krumkake), and some crucifixes I thought were beautiful. Not high ticket items, by any means. I've never bought any NC...

Re: Movie Crawler and X2

A thought. Would the admins be interested in moving the board to a place like ezboard? I help admin a board there (Seattle Gothic), and in the 2+ years we've been there, there's been no technical problems with our forum. It also might cost less overall, as there's a way for members to contribute. Th...

Which Nightcrawler is your favorite?

I'm the minority. I like scrawny, annoying, hyper Evo Kurt best, complete with bad accent ( "Chicks dig zee fuzzy dood!" )and worse jokes. He's cute in a 'the little brother you want to bury in a cave' sort of way. He'll calm down when the testosterone kicks in, and someone hides the sugar...

Nightcrawler's sins

Or, another stab at it. Roman Catholics have Confession. You sin, you go to Confession, you get your penance from a priest (it can be anything form 'pray 10 Our Fathers' to 'work in a soup kitchen for a day'). Would he be able to go to Confession, looking the way he does? Maybe the scars are in lieu...

Nightcrawler/Religious & Spiritual Discussion

I'm Catholic, and while I didn't know of Nightcrawler's spirituality when I was converting/in RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults - a Catholic 101 type of class), I found X2 inspiring when I was going through a low point in my faith journey. One criticism that I hear from Protestants about...
