Looking for a few good writers
If I may ask, is there a position for a writer who doesn't really know enough about x-men to play a character? What I mean is, are there non-character positions that could be filled? This looks like something I would be very interested in becoming a part of, but I would feel very awkward taking on t...

Juri's Story
Well its been quite some time since I last posted, but I think I actually have something worth posting now. Now the reason Im posting this here is because I cant get a straight review from anyone due to the storys content (its not gross, but just hard to digest sometimes). I honestly dont know if I ...

Shankjam's Stories (Updated 6/1 Grief Completed)
Well done! I loved the first part, always did feel that those x-men costumes were a bit like bdsm getups. Now for the gripes: The pacing was a little fast (which may or may not be what you want, but if it's an arc, prolly not); Not knowing anything about Jared is bothersome to the reader, especially...

Is anyone here a literate RPer?
Btw I just thought of a good idea and thought it shoudl be written down before I forget. Perhaps you could have one person who sets the scene, says what is going on, ect. (a dm type person). Since message board roleplaying is more freeform (I think) this person's job beyond setting the scene at firs...

give him some muscles. If i remember right the suit is skin tight, but looking at his torso it seems smooth. Just makes it look a bit off. Or if not muscles, ribs or something.

Why wouldn't he use a noose and hang himself? They are cheap (because you can improvise) and not very hard to make. It was a nice scene. Just that if he wanted to kill himself he could find a way .

1st chapter of a novel: Freelancers Song
First off, I am an amateur writer in high school. If i knew the secrets to writing I would have been published by now. So don't take what I say as God's creed. This is perhaps my meanest and most convaluted critique yet, sorry :( . Ok, well let me say I didn't read all of this because I had a hard t...

The Fic That Should Not Be
Ok, well I had the biggest case of writer's block for a really long time and went kind of insane. That's when I wrote this. Now, this is a bit different from how I normally write, because well it's insane (I'm not kidding). Anyway, the first part is a bit wierd, but I think the ending will be intere...

well now, this is a story I can get into. Delicious, perversly delicious. :evil . I was always a big fan of despair. The fics with that one good person in a world where being good just isn't worth it. It's a nice touch. A fic of my own heart, for better or for worse, I give this installment two bloo...

I believe that is concept art of Kurt. In fact, the very very first concept art for Kurt looked much different, and kinda goofy.

Well, I like what you have so far. I think it fits with Logan, cause that's what he would do, macho to the end.

Not really sure how I thought this up, but I just wrote and let it flow. Perhaps inspiration really is just a gift from the unconscious mind. ---------------------------------------------------- Kurt walked into the church not sure exactly what he would find. He was no stranger to the inside of a ch...

X-men universe rpg book
I was browsing my local book store when I stumbled upon this curious book that appeared to be an x-men universe rpg book. For all those who don't know I'm speaking of Role Playing Game of the pen and paper variety ie: think D&D or V:tm. Since I'm an avid D&D and white wolf player, I was very...

I must admit, at first I was not expecting to like this (sorry, pain angst fics annoy me for some reason). However, it was quite good. The image that really stood out for me was when Kurt was asking about everyone else even in his last moments. This was vivid, touching and really stayed true to Kurt...

Time to write a story, how do you begin?
Inspiration strikes you at noon and by three it's just festering in your mind ready to burst out. You want this one to turn out well so you decide that a bit of pre-writing is in order so that you can share your vision with everyone else. What do you do? What pre-writing techniques do the people on ...

Honestly, if you had an imagine inducer and looked like that wouldn't you use the hell out of it? Evo-crawler isn't suave or debenair (sp?), but it's sure funny when he tries. This crawler seems more realistic; he is a bit unsure, a bit naive, and a bit annoying. Whether realism in a show about supe...

Unfortunatly this question pertains to fanfiction.net and since i can't get a response from their support I have to ask it here =(. Feel free to delete if mods don't want this here. Well, i enjoyed this although something was bothering me. It seemed more that i was being told what was going on instead of actually seeing it, while not wrong it is an interesting stylistic choice. Also, i personally enjoy a more descriptive writing style. Certain phrases like, "I teleport, so...

Basically, this post is asking your opinion as a reader and any writers out there on what you think of the debate between being true to the original world which a writer is writing about in a fan fic or whether or not new ideas and characters are alright. This is a bit vague so let me explain. This ...
