Nightcrawler statue from BOWEN
Just looked on comicstatues.com. They have this statue on "sale" for 144.95. That's odd, considering it was just released.

Comic Book Readers without the Y Chromosome
I also ran into the problem enough that I just stopped buying comics for years. The nightcrawler series finally gave me enough of a reason to go back into the one store that we have. I noticed I got a lot more stares when I went directly from work with a dress and high heels on than I did in a t-shi...

Argh, my daughter has watched this movie every day for two weeks. I can recite the dialog right along with the characters. We even have a lively pirate bathroom now.

CrossGen comics going into bankruptcy
They did Sojourn, etc. Mostly medieval heroines, trolls, etc. They are a local company that tried to recreate the "bullpen" atmosphere where people got paid a weekly salary instead of turning things over to freelancers. Don't know if anyone is familar with them or not.

July 3 reminder
In case anyone forgot, Saturday is Free Comic Book Day, where participating vendors around the world offer free comic giveaways. A comic store near my home will have Brandon Peterson from Ultimate X-men, Aaron Lopresti from Excalibur, Andy Smith from the Legion, and a lot of other people.

Old comics
Thanks! That's perfect. Wow, even my old house of mystery comics go for 10.00 a piece, NM. Hopefully, I'll be able to use that guide and try to sell them at half price. Community garage sale in two weeks- good bye xmen, teen titans, detective comments, sigh.

Old comics
Does anyone know any place on line where I can find the market value for old comics? They are all 20 to 30 years old. Ebay doesn't seem to help, and I tried to get the comic guide at the library, but it was two years old. Plus the bags haven't been changed in ten years, and I only had the xmen in my...

Oooh, can I try? 1) An unknown entity was lurking here bent on hacking the board and embarass this poster. 2) This poster is a police officer, since he says he arrests people. 3) Poster had to take drastic action to save this site. He could not notify admin because his every move was being watched. ...

Oh,
That first pic should come with a warning. I like him as nightcrawler, but that armpit shot just makes me want to hurl.

I remember when I saw that very first picture of the actor as nightcrawler. You know the one, green background, hole in the pants. I remember thinking- eww, that is SO not Nightcrawler. When I saw the movie though, my thoughts on him playing Nightcrawler changed. He wasn't what I had envisioned in m...

I've read the new xmen since they came out and I liked the new nightcrawler. It got me back into reading comics again. There are things I would have changed in the movie, but everyone has their own opinions. Like why didn't Ororo have blue eyes? Why did she lose her accent? Why didn't she have the r...

Heathen Sent -- Bamfette and Crawler's Comic!
All the good stuff happens when I'm gone. Auctions like this, bannings......
Is the auction finished? Is it too late? I went to the site but couldn't reply. I think it would be exceedingly cool to have my daughter drawn in a comic.

I guess the question would be do you think nazis were evil or not. Since he was an adult and still followed that path, I voted yes. I'll probably be the only one, though.

My big brother had married a Jehova's Witness. I remember when I was 14 she kept trying to convert me, saying that Catholics worhiped the devil in their churches. :eek When I told her how much I felt the Spirit because I had just gone thru confirmation, she said that proved her point, it was the dev...

Hey! That's my bean! lol
I was thinking this morning it was too bad that Dave Cockrum didn't have his own website where he could sell pics with his autograph, etc. I hate the idea of buying comics or lithographs with his sig, and giving the money to someone else.

I loved the Brood. They were intelligent, nasty and ruthless. The xmen issues with the Brood were some of my favorites. I had pulled them out to look at them again just this summer.
