You know your living in a comic book when...
- There's exactly one gay guy in the entire universe. - You have conversations with your friends where you catch each other up on everything that's happened lately, being careful to mention everyone's names and powers, so that new readers can follow what's about to happen. - When you think all your ...

Click there - there's already a web-based chat room. Although I must admit that I, myself, am neither nice nor worth chatting to.
(And "Off-Topic Antics" is a better place for posts that aren't about Nightcrawler.)

Remy not being in X2
The novelization showed Remy manifesting his powers as a result of the Cerebro attack on mutants. (Personally I'm glad this didn't make the final cut; I think it confuses the story and leaves a lot of pointless loose ends.)

Cut scene Xray Discussion *spoilers*
I haven't read the whole novelization - if Chris Claremont has written anything worse, I don't want to read that either - but in it, Kurt is already using the church as a base before he's captured. (He'd interviewed with an American circus that was apprehensive about hiring an obvious mutant, and wa...

Watch 11 Deleted Scenes from X2!
Originally posted by Mad With Power I'll be interested to hear Singer's reason for dropping the shot. I bet it's because the film was already so long. It was, what, two hours twenty minutes? X2 is pretty tightly put together - too tightly at some points, I think; some scenes would have benefited fr...

Watch 11 Deleted Scenes from X2!
Originally posted by sevati Thought the 1984 date poses a question as to when the film is supposed to take place (the movie site's Cerebro says 2000 or 2001?), and how old they're trying to make Kurt/how old he was when those x-rays were taken. I haven't read the filmcomic or novel, so I don't know...

Jess's link is now going to an error page, though said page contains a link to the clips. This link goes right to the clips: 11 deleted X2 scenes Some of the changes are major, some are fairly subtle. I've used spoiler links for material that was revealed in the full script or the novelization but w...

1602 avoids the trap that too many "familiar characters, new setting" stories fall into - endlessly referring to what's already been done without telling a standalone story. The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen had this problem for me from time to time - page after page of significant lo...

Kurt's Middle Name?
Originally posted by Siona I looked it up in some baby books and Kurt is short for Konrad, and is also spelled as Curt. Originally posted by Sorte Springer The name Kurt is a shorter form of the name Konrad. It may be a nickname that Konrads get, but is that really the origin of the name? Doesn't it come from Kurtis, from the same Old French root that gives us "courteous"? Oh, and "Wagner" means ...
