Making a custom costume

I wish there was a whole eye contact I could use, but since there isn't, I am having to settle for bright yelow contacts. It was one of the things I didn't like about movie 'crawler, but I don't see a workable alternative... Are you ordering lenses? If so: http://02a5349.netsolstores.com/yellowscle...

Was there a delay in the post with the pics showing up? That or my talent for missing things kicked into high gear. Anyhoo, I think it's nifty! Is it heavy?

Wolverine and the X-men

What Starfish said. I thoroughly enjoyed the issue, and the little extras in the back added to the fun. There were plenty of giggles to be had. I sure hope Aaron keeps this up. :nodyes

The Great 2011 DC Relaunch - 52 New #1's in September

I'm very confused about some of the timelining with this whole reboot. I shall try to help. :) -Barry gets back as Flash, having "resolved" the Flashpoint issues and talks to Batman about having met his father (who was Batman in the Flashpoint debacle), and Bruce even receives a letter fr...

My Big Three X-books

The first GH trade is out, and that has the first 5 issues. I imagine the second comes out in January and includes issues 6-12. Amazon is your friend. ;)

AoA Nightcrawler (Darkholme) in Uncanny X-Force Teaser Image

Uhhh... whoa... wait, what? And isn't Astonishing that title that's like.... way behind the actual book? And is sort of lame-duck because of that reason? Nothing of any importance happens in that title I thought? I was told it was canon, by proxy. That cover makes it look like they're embarking on ...

X-Men Schism - Analysis of the X-Men Event

You misread me, man: I like Ramos. I just don't think his style suits everything. It's quite fun on Spider-Man, though. It's vibrant and energetic, which is exactly what's needed for that character. Ramos' art probably wouldn't suit X-Factor or X-Force, though. The tone is all wrong. And I love Scot...

X-Men Schism - Analysis of the X-Men Event

I listed them in order, so Davis would be issue #4. I'm a bit picky about art as well, but the cartoony stuff bothers me less than hyper-stylized stuff. Depending on the title, a distorted cartoony style, like Ramos', really works. Bachalo's style has become so stylized that it's hard to make sense ...

X-Men Schism - Analysis of the X-Men Event

I will have to admit that I haven't read this story arc, and I'm pretty sure I don't want to just from the many things I have heard about it on this and other forums. Are the writers so strapped for imaginative stories that they have to turn a bunch of kids into cold-blooded murderers? Just the ide...

X-Men Schism - Analysis of the X-Men Event

The kid doing all the talking is Kade Kilgore. He's a 12-year-old who killed his dad to take over his weapons-manufacturing company and managed to impress the remaining members of the Hellfire Club enough to be crowned Black King. All the kids are quite twisted, especially the girl. They're the ones...

X-Men Schism - Analysis of the X-Men Event

Ugh, the prelude was horrid. It's no wonder the actual event doesn't appear to be pulling sales much higher than the highest-selling regular X-title after that. The guys at Marvel say it was a "thematic prelude"--not that they could be bothered to mention that in the solicitations. The Big...

Not that I'm aware of, but I do know that somebody's supposed to die in X-Factor. If somebody important does kick the bucket during Schism, it'll actually be a surprise. (An un-hyped death?! Gasp!)

X-Men Schism - Analysis of the X-Men Event

Well, to be fair, there is a detonator involved in this fight. If the fight stops without the detonator changing hands or the bomb being disabled, Utopia's getting blown to smithereens.

X-Men Schism - Analysis of the X-Men Event

I've been reading it, and I'm of two minds about it. It's good that they're finally doing something to get some of the mutants off Utopia. The conflict, to me, feels slightly forced. The lead-up just wasn't prominent enough, so it seems to come out of nowhere rather than coming across as an inevitab...

little crawlers

They look like pretty standard modern Bachalo-drawn Nightcrawlers to me. The multiples seem slightly faded in the Krakoa cover, so I'm guessing it's an interpretation of the teleporting. Maybe they're meant to show where Kurt recently was. Acourse, it could be something completely different. One nev...

Mehron didn't run on me, and I wore it all day for multiple Halloweens. I didn't use a sealer, but I also didn't run around enough to get really sweaty. (Did I use powder to set it? Hrm. Maybe. Not sure. Can't remember.) Stickiness wasn't a problem for me, and I wore it on my hands for my gargoyle c...

Mehron also makes good makeup in a good selection of colors, and it's a heck of a lot cheaper than MAC. Seconded. Mehron is what I used, and you should be able to get a stick of it for $10 or so. A Halloween or theater supply store might carry it. They make a nice blue. Here's what the sticks look ...

Are you going to sew the pants and shirt together? Yes, full leotards are somewhat of an annoyance at potty time, but it'd give the red part a straight line instead of breaking at the waist. Your tail will be much livelier to look at than mine was; it was just stuffed and sewn onto the leotard. Acou...

A black long-legged, long-sleeved leotard makes a great base, so all you really need to do is sew additional pieces onto it. A stick of grease paint in the proper blue makes for great makeup, and flesh-toned elf ears can be painted with it as well. Go for the individual fangs that glue directly onto...

I need a quick overview

Emma named one of her gray hairs after him, IIRC. Aside from the grief pieces, that's the only other bit that comes to mind. Mystique mentioned his death, but not much got explored from her end 'cause she kinda got dead. Again. Sort of. Illyana pulled some Limbo mess in NM recently that resulted in ...

X-Men Regenesis

I can safely say right now, I won't be reaqding any of the Team Blue stuff. I'm rather bummed Gillen will no longer be on GH. He's been doing some interesting things with those characters, I think, and developing them well. It'll also be a shame if it loses Idie. Given that Emma mind-wiped Shaw, I'...

Thus far, there's more than one thing on which they're disagreeing. Logan got miffed at Scott for scheduling him to teach Hope's crew in combat skills without informing him. Logan wanted to hand Quire over to Steve Rogers or somebody; Scott thought he should be dealt with by his own people on Utopia...

So I haven't been reading X-Books, other than Uncanny X-Force. Can I get an explanation on Colossus/Juggernaut there? Lessen the number of X-titles? Why ever would they do a sensible thing like that? :P There'll probably be some reveals on the Gold team today. I'm curious who the girl is on UXF, given that Betsy's on XM. They'll probably end up revealing the obvious Fantomex 'cause they're mean like that. I'm rathe...
