A Question About The Scars
A terrible pain, as opposed to the time Alan Cumming had to spend in the chair anyway? Not that I terribly minded defuzzing Nighty, but I don't think the scars were an improvement.

Fic needing critique
I agree. We kind of need the who, what, when, where, and why. But keep up the good work. And I hope this ends well. I can't stand anything too terrible happening to Nighty, especially considering the last lines of the song. I kind of read this thinking and

Yes, I know that. Which is why I had found that scene a bit confusing.

Your Favorite Director And The one you hate
Like Spielberg, Lucas, Jackson, Singer, Raimi
Don't much like Scorsese, Tarantino, or Tim Burton. (Well, okay, most of his work was tolerable, but he did ruin Planet of the Apes.)

We're big Maire Brennan fans in my family. She's one of the few artists we have more than one CD of, up there with the Beatles, Rush, and John Williams conducting the London Philharmonic. Oh, and an important lesson. Never go to a Weird Al concert while 8 months pregnant, unless you want to head str...

That was good. Though Thor should know better than to treat Mjollnir like that.

Katrina Disaster in New Orleans
There was a "mandatory" evacuation issued before Katrina made landfall, but no means were provided to ensure that the people could evacuate. Everyone without a car, without a ride, or without money was, quite frankly left to die while wondering how they would comply with this "mandato...

I watched it again, and discussed it with some fellow Germanophones. We concluded that indeed, he says "raus," but with the "r" to weak or too far back in the throat. I wasn't the only one who heard it "aus."

^I approve. As for me, I'm 31, married, a mother of two children and two dogs. I'd been into sci-fi and superhero stuff all my life. Mostly Star Wars, Star Trek, Outer Limits, Twilight Zone, and all things Marvel-ous. It seems I have a lot more in common with many on this board besides just a fondne...

Oh, brother. With the names of hurricanes we've had to deal with (Ivan the Terrible, Dennis the Menace, Killer Katrina) I wouldn't be surprised if we had to tangle with Mad Ophelia. Best of luck to you, Paws. Stay safe and dry. Meanwhile, I'm almost grateful that the worst we have to prepare for whe...

I was actually talking about both. One of my stories will depend very much on how Winding Way pans out.

The Temporal Comedy - Down Time
This is a sequel to The Zeitgeist Awakens. I own none of the characters except for my own creations, Dr. and Kassandra Altheim. Down Time “Guten Morgen, Kassi!” came a cheerful voice. “In wie Fern gut, bittesehr?” Kassandra muttered, as she trudged back into the Xavier Mansion after a most unusually...

Cartoons about Kurt as a kid
Yeah, Nazi rubbish of all kinds is illegal in Germany. Still, this character might not be the sort known for regard for the law. As for the rest, maybe it's because I'm a mother, but I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. Still, it's kind of sad to see Nighty's a fish out of water even in his o...

Yeah, kind of like the ghost twins. Except without the dreads and albinism. (Wonders why albinos are almost always baddies in the movies.)

The Zeitgeist Awakens- conclusion
Escaping the prison was, as usual, ridiculously easy even with the bruises and general achiness from their humiliating defeat. Magneto sprung the locks. Mystique disguised herself as a high-ranking police officer, said that Magneto, Pyro, and Sabretooth were wanted elsewhere on other charges (which ...

The Zeitgeist Awakens, part 3
Time started to catch up with Kassandra. “Give it another try, Onkel Charles,” she said softly as she awakened. And this time their minds could meet. Charles saw what she had and wanted to know more about- the timelines that cut off her father’s. He recognized the events they contained. And the peop...

“Hallo, Vater,” said Kassandra as she sat in the confessional. “It’s been a month since my last confession, and I think I have a pretty big sin to confess.” “Kassandra,” Father Akwenye reassured, “You know that save for blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, there is no sin too big for God’s forgiveness...

International Talk Like A Pirate Day
I have a class on the 19th. But as this ties in remotely with what I teach, maybe when the dancers are changing shoes or whatever, I'll regale them with a couple of tales of Grainne ni Mhaille, the Pirate Queen of Galway.
