Re: Making a custom costume
So, I DID IT!! Some guy said I was the best Nightcrawler he's ever seen and I got a ton of photo requests. Throughout the day, problems occurred, but they were overcome. My heel piece kept slipping off and makeup was on some of my clothing, but all was easily fixed. Also, my tail's support piece bro...

Re: San Diego Comic Con
So far SDCC is great! All my Cosplay related news/ photos will be on the Custom Costume thread, but long story short, it was a success despite a couple hiccups. I was stopped often and complimented generously. I've attended TEN panels so far and Will be at 5 more tomorrow, including 20th Century Fox...

Re: Making a custom costume
So I did my full dress rehearsal tonight, and I must say I am happy overall with the results! A couple alterations here and there. I can't say it's perfect because I know where I have screwed up, but for the purposes of the convention, I don't think anyone will notice the minor flaws in the design. ...

Re: Nightcrawler Returns -- Inhumanity by Matt Fraction
I hate what they did in the X-Termination storyline, what with killing off all the Kurts... but if it paves the way for a Nightcrawler resurrection, huzzah! I know I am getting this book... Also, I don't read W&tXM... has Nightcrawler been popping up frequently? I saw an awesome cover of Wolveri...

Re: Making a custom costume
So UPDATE: My wife will NOT be wearing the Scarlet Witch costume to Comic Con. Without going into too much detail, she has informed me she does not feel comfortable wearing the costume. Not only are the shoes impractical to wear at a convention (which I totally understand), but she has social anxiet...

Re: Making a custom costume
Thank you for all the tips! Thin blister pads and a shoe stretcher may be what the doctor ordered... And the people have spoken. The wig will remain as is.
Also, I'm glad you think the costume is passable. I know nothing about how to make womens clothes, so I am quite pleased with how it turned out.

Re: Making a custom costume
T minus 2 weeks until Comic Con and the excitement is building!! I've finished my wife's costume and I've posted pictures below. Now, ladies, I have a question. The shoes we have are slightly tight and she doesn't want discomfort and blisters after an hour in costume, but it looks incomplete without...

Re: Making a custom costume
When I opened the link, it appeared in the forum... weird. Thanks! the only way to really make the toes prominent is to make the feet looooong. However, I designed the toes to be quite versatile so that walking isn't too difficult, even if it does feel a bit awkward. The hot glue on the soles defini...

Re: Making a custom costume
Talk about procrastination! I am currently hemming my wife's cape and I have finished the rest of her costume. Give me a day or two and I will post photos or her final look. All I lack is the second leg, meaning that I need to attach the black leg to the red middle piece to the white ankle piece. Sh...

Re: Making a custom costume
Wow that is badass! I may have to use some of these techniques! Due to the not so yellow eyes, some yellow eye liner may do the trick! Thank you JSherlock!
And give me about a week to finish up Scarlet Witch and may be able to share finished product soon...

Re: Making a custom costume
So UPDATE on my costume. Six weeks until comic con, and I have mostly everything done. I finished the feet, but I need to attach black to red to white on my legs. Also, I may need to get some white knee highs for underneath the feet so that the tone difference from shoe to leg isn't as prominent. As...

Re: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST
I've talked with others about this... Now, Singer has stated this will tie into both old and new X-Men movie canon, while fixing inconsistencies. Charles Xavier doesn't really "meet" Logan until 2000 when the first film was made. This leads me to believe it is Logan's mind that is sent bac...

Re: Making a custom costume
Good idea. I'm scared of trying to shade and contour and all that stuff... But I think I may give it a try...
And I checked out the site, and I noticed it is mostly catered to women. The one I found is 30 bucks and has that wavy, wild look to it. I think it'll be great.

Re: Making a custom costume
So, I graduate this saturday from college, meaning work on my costume will resume soon. I need to purchase my wig (which I have picked I think) and my contacts. I decided they will have to be prescription if I am going to wear them all day, so I have to go to the Doctor for a fresh prescription. I h...

Re: X-Termination
I never really read Ultimate, even though I should have... and wait... there was a Manga-Crawler?? Cool. We have the Bamfs, but that is it. It pisses me off too... I want to boycott Marvel altogether, but they have some good stuff right now. I am reading Uncanny Avengers, All New X-Men and Deadpool....

Re: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST
Well, Singer confirmed these three actors already on his twitter account, but didn't specify the roles they would be playing. Then, he posted this vine video... https://vine.co/v/bPXUHdHMwnm All the names are accounted for but Warpath and Bishop, leading me to believe Stewart and Sy are playing thes...

Re: X-Termination
It seems that way... I spent over $100 following these new Nightcrawler wannabes. The only thing this X-Termination is going to exterminate is Nightcrawler fans.

Re: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST
Booboo Stewart will be playing Warpath and Omar Sy will be Bishop. 95% sure. Also, Adam Canto is cast, presumably a fire based character like Sunspot. In production now, so Singer will probably be posting photos regularly.

I flipped through Sex #1 and that was pretty pornographic. Is #2 even more adult that a lesbian peep show, genitals and all?
