Huge Goof In X2 Involving Nightcrawler!

Originally posted by Mr. Wagner I am also quite amazed that no one noticed it before now, or at least brought it up. Actually this has been caught before - it's long been on the Nitpickers's List for X2 . Unfortunately Nitpickers is quicker to list goofs than to remove them if they're wrong - their...

Online when I'm not?

A webserver can't really know if you're online or not - it knows when it's sent you a page, but not whether you're spending the next ten minutes reading it, or whether you immediately closed it to do something else. With basic webpages (like on Scrawlers), your computer doesn't send any information ...

Multiple body parts, up to and including conjoined twins, are typically birth defects, not genetic (and therefore not mutations).

Since the hell in UXM Annual #4 is based on Dantes Inferno, Italian would make even more sense. `Per me si va ne la città dolente, per me si va ne letterno dolore, per me si va tra la perduta gente. Giustizia mosse il mio alto fattore; fecemi la divina podestate, la somma sapïenza e l primo amore. D...

X2 in Japan

You might not have been able to play it when you got home. DVDs sold in different parts of the world use different region coding (it's part of the DVD spec, in fact) to prevent disks sold in one region from working on players sold in another region. Japan and Europe are Region 2; the U.S. is region ...

New chat features - post spoilers without changing your colo

Let me clarify - when I say "without changing your color", I mean you don't have to pick the spoiler color from the color bar and then change back later. The spoiled text is still hidden (when spoilers are turned off) or white (when they're on.)

New chat features - post spoilers without changing your colo

In the chat color bar, there's a dark blue on the left that matches the chat background. If you choose this as your color, text you type will be hidden until a user selects it or issues the /spoiler command. If you don't want to change colors - you've found just the perfect one, say, or you only wan...

That's the way the chat handles a lot of features that affect the main screen. If it annoys people it can be changed.

New chat features - hide & show spoilers automatically!

You may already have seen the spoiler color in chat - it lets you protect spoilers from sensitive eyes by setting them to the background color. (It's the dark blue to the left of the rainbow spectrum.) It can be a little difficult to read spoilers - you have to select the text, the way you do on the...

X3, Storm-free?

Inspiration strikes! Martha Wash was one of the Weather Girls - "It's Raining Men" was their big hit. Who better to play Storm, the ultimate weather girl? She just needs a blonde wig. She could sing "It's Raining Men" in X3. More pics of Martha , mostly (N.b., Megz mentioned Mart...

NC´s line changed on DVD

I don't think it is a change. I remember the line as "angelic symbols given to mankind by the Archangel Gabriel." I could be wrong about the "given", it could have been "passed down", but it's always been "angelic symbols."

Build your own Nighty

Fond as I am of the Alan Davis Kurt, his posture was a bit too good, and his tail often looked like an afterthought. John Byrne's Kurt could look natural climbing headfirst out of a car or racing down a hallway on a utility pipe. The movie, cartoon, and alternate-universe Kurts are secondary AFAIC. ...

I used to pretend I was the Green Lantern - don't remember if I knew him from the comics or just from the Super Friends cartoon, though. Even had a green plastic ring. My little brother and sister tended not to be up for playing Legion of Doom for some reason. No accounting for tasted. ("C'mon,...

Should Nightcrawler lead the Uncanny X-Men?

Though when Kurt led the Uncanny team back when (it's in the 190 range), he was bad at the job and always frustrated. He seemed more comfortable as a team member than wielding the authority - and the accompanying separation - that came with being the boss. He was a good leader in Excalibur, though -...

Dark Dimension in X2??

X2 was very carefully constructed to set up characters' powers. Wolverine healed his cigarette burn before healing from a gunshot; Rogue had her kiss with Bobby before her big scene with Pyro; Pyro blew up the bully's cigarette before he took on the police; et cetera. If the smoke was meant to be th...

Question re: the Essential graphic novels

But watch out if you're ordering them online, especially used without descriptions. There's a book called "Essential Guide to the X-Men" that isn't comic reprints. The word "guide" doesn't appear in the titles of any of the comic collections.

Question re: the Essential graphic novels

They are yours, then - they're reprints of the comics. Essential Uncanny X-Men (note the word "Uncanny" ) is the old lineup with Beast, Angel, Iceman, Marvel Girl (i. e. Jean Gray), and Cyclops. Essential X-Men - there are four volumes - starts with Xavier recruiting Wolverine, Storm, Nigh...
