Quickie for Dave...
Is Kurt supposed to have a fine layer of fur? The reason I ask is that I have heard him referred to as "fuzzy". When drawing/painting him should he be rendered furry like Beast or fleshy like the movie version of NC?

who would win?
yeah Bamf Bunny how did it turn out? I assume the outcome was either; a) a tie as they're both big-name Marvel characters and also both good-guys. b) unsettled because this would enable Marvel to attract readers attention with the SPIDEY Vs. NIGHTCRAWLER tag line on the cover, again and again (see S...

A close call.
Hmmmm..... Spidey could probably cave NC's head in with his 'proportionate strength of a spider', but would he ever be able to catch him? Webbing would be inneffective as Kurt could teleport out of it; and Spidey's spider-sense would make it hard for Kurt to surprise him. Would spider-sense alert Pe...

Ooch! Poor Kurt!
I always thought it was just an attempt to freshen-up some out dated concepts and characters by putting them in a modern context. It was a shrewd business strategy by Marvel; I gather they re-invent their titles quite regularly. Keeping the kids who were hooked by the films interested by giving them...

Thayr: I think you should just get on with it, do what makes you happy. Hell, technically I infringe on Marvels copyright on wolverine every day, what do they expect me to do? shave off my side burns? I don't think so. Like someone said; certain laws are only ever really applied to people who break ...

Female Characters That We Hate???
Hi as a follow up to my previous questionnaire (topic=i need some feedback please), I just thought I'd find out if there were any female characters that were hugely unsuccessful or unpopular. I don't want to repeat the mistakes of the past. So could you (male or female) type down any female characte...

It's not really a comic but have you read Comics and Sequential Art by Eisner?
If that gets your grey matter sparking try Understanding Comics: The Invisisble Art and the follow up publications by Scott McCloud (comics about comics - they're cool!), if you haven't already.

Am I missing something?
Thayr: I'm not sure I understand, you want to set up a business on Hollywood Blvd charging people for you to make them look like nightcrawler? Or have photo's taken of them with (you dressed up as) Nightcrawler? Only Nightcrawler not Logan or Rogue? Does it have to be physical? Could you not just us...

I used to draw dragons a lot when I was younger they're cool because you can draw them however you want, not having to worry about getting proportions correct and what-have-you. I am a traditional painting fan but I am also utilising photoshop more and more these days (although sometimes it doesn't ...

Oy yeah! Six months ago I'd never posted on a forum before and now I'm hooked, I intend to use them to get feedback from actual comic fans, as well as going to shops and such-like. So from time to time I will be dropping off some images for your perusal or story ideas for criticism. This is by no me...

Shadowscrawl: I am not onlyinterested in creating a superheroine, I think anything that I create will probably be merely a pale imitation of what has gone before anyway if I were to try and do that, and my tutors have suggested that I look into having a story that raises awareness or deals with a to...

Yeah the scales and colours are excellent. Very tactile. However the anatomy seems a little off. But don't worry, a decent picture is something you have to work at. Don't be afraid of re-doing something; you made it from nothing once and you CAN do it again. Never be too precious with your work. Lis...

Whats your most valuable comic!!
I really enjoy looking at the artwork in the recent Secret Wars comics, so they are becoming favourites of mine. As well as a spiderman comic from a few months ago...it had a story about a disabled boy watching spiderman fight Morbius, the artwork was quite painterly and oh so realistic. I also love...

You could get some costumes made up in the likenesses of your chara.'s and hire someone to do something cra-a-a-zy in public (whilst wearing the costumes obviously) which will gain media coverage, BINGO, cheap advertisements.
Good luck by the way...

I am a final year Graphic Design (Illustration) BA student and for my final 'major negotiated project' I am looking into creating a female comic character (and a storyline) based on what women (non-readers and fans alike) actually want to see, with the aim of encouraging more ladys to take comics se...
