Current Timeline.

<Sue> The taxi driver had given her the weirdest look when she'd given him the address and it had taken her a while to get used to the new local accents without giggling. The ten minute drive from the local airport was a strange and awkward one and the driver refused to take her further than the access road so she'd walked most of the rest of the way, floating her bags behind her in bubbles.

<Sue> There was a lot of snow. There'd been a lot in New York but this was ridiculous. She ended up spreading her field over the snow to walk across the top rather than around it, introducing herself to the SHIELD agent that greeted her then gave her a room assignment and directions. Standing at the edge of the snowy lawn and looking up at the building, she took in the size of the place... and the creepiness. She didn't blame the driver.

<Elizabeth> Elizabeth was fully settled in now, all of her savings pretty much spent up replacing her lost clothes and belongings so today she'd been going around Boston handing in CV's at all the local clubs, strip joints and in one casino. For once she was out of her pvc clothing and in jeans and a thick coat and gloves.

<Elizabeth> Although she'd got home some time before Sue, she was still out wondering the grounds and enjoying the snow a little, this place looking less creepy now it was all clean and very nearly finished. Stopping her wanderings when she saw the figure approaching through the snow she headed over to investigate.

<Sue> Spying non-SHIELD movement, Sue focused her attention there instead, "Oh! Hi!" She grinned and waved at the approaching Elizabeth, recognising her even though she looked very unlike herself.

<Elizabeth> Elizabeth smiled and waved then, recognising Sue. "Hey Sue! Glad to see you back." Jogging that last bit to stand by the girl, unlike her though Elizabeth wasn't using her powers to walk on top of the snow.

<Sue> "Yeah... it's good to be back..." She sent her luggage bubbles into the entrance hall, making the front wall a bit invisible to make sure they landed somewhere out of the way. "How long have you been here?"

<Elizabeth> "I spent a few days at the Prancing Jackalope then the moment they'd unlocked the doors to start the construction I moved back in with a sleeping bag and a matteress. Few weeks then?" She looked at the building with fondness. "How are things back in Blighty?"

<Sue> "Quiet...." Sue sighed, "Mum and Dad are all over the place... I'm kind of glad to be out of there, to be honest..."

<Elizabeth> "I imagine they are.... Well you'll be happy to know that the building is no longer as creepy on the inside as it is on the outside." She walked the girl towards the door and warmth. "It's hardly quiet here, we're already getting new students."

<Sue> "Really? That's nice... some new faces would be welcome." She followed the other girl into the building. "Classes started yet? Wondering how much I've missed with my extended absence..."

<Elizabeth> "So far they're definitely ...interesting." The moment they were indoors the coat came off, revealing the fact she was still managing to wear some pvc in this weather. "A few have started up, mainly the more active ones as the classrooms are still being built."

<Sue> "Guess I'll do some exploring later and track down some teachers..." She gathered up her things again, "Maybe tomorrow..."

<Elizabeth> "Yeah not like there's any urgency to this, classes aren't going anywhere. So know where you'll be rooming yet or do we get to go play pick a room? This place has hundreds." Smiling and grabbing one of the bags for Sue, the girl seemed so much more friendly today.

<Sue> "They gave me one, one of the SHIELD people came over with it." She eyed the stairs, "I'm so glad I can make things invisible, it minimises my chance of getting lost."

<Elizabeth> Elizabeth laughed then, a proper one, seemingly free of that normal haunted tone she carried in her voice. "Well I have another method..." Pulling a little hand drawn map out of her pocket. "Me and one of the new kids, Fianna, have been making a map of this place, there's even underground tunnels."

<Sue> "Wow really? That adds a whole other level of creepy..."

<Elizabeth> "Yeah they're being cleared out for escape routes and transport around the grounds I think." Map fully unfolded, she smiled warmly. "So what room have you been landed with?"

<Sue> "The man said second door on the left...." She gave a half shrug. "I hear we get our own rooms now too?"

<Elizabeth> Finding the student rooms on the map she pointed to the room in question. "Well you're a bit away from my hidden little room but, no problem. I can show you if you like?"

<Sue> "Thanks.... and then I need to investigate their tea making facilities - I am gasping for a cuppa."

<Elizabeth> "Well that is where we are in luck the kitchen is finished and it's fucking huge compared to the old one." Hefting the bag she headed for the main stairs nearly humming to herself. "Was your flight over here ok?"

<Sue> "Yeah, it was alright - as nice as flights get. I was more worried about getting lost at the other end."

<Elizabeth> "Me too, however I planned ahead, low cut tops does wonders for the free rides you get offered and how nice people are for directions apparently." She giggled a little at the memory of that one man's face.

<Sue> She laughed, "I just guessed that a taxi driver would have some vague idea where we were."

<Elizabeth> She was actually having to force herself not to skip up the stairs right now. "It seems everyone in town knows where this place is but won't go near it, most people wouldn't believe me earlier that it's turning into a college."

<Sue> "Yeah the taxi driver refused to drive up the access road, made me walk with all my stuff! Good thing I have forcefield powers or I don't know how I'd have managed."

<Elizabeth> "Well that was a bit of a bastard move, l didn't have that problem as I only came here with a backpack's worth of stuff, lost the rest back at the old XU. However, all the money I saved came in useful to restock - just wish my favourite boots hadn't been lost." Shaking her hair out she revealed streaks of fresh violet dye.

<Sue> "Aww, well you can get new favourites..." she offered a small smile, pausing at the door that was, apparently, hers.

<Elizabeth> "Yeah back to job hunting for now though, can't get new favourites 'til I've got a few hundred dollars to spend." She smiled and stopped at the door, putting the bag down. "After you, sweetheart, one good thing about this new building is in fact the rooms."

<Sue> "It'll be nice to have my own room, I think... sharing rooms has been a bit of a fiasco." She opened the door, the smell of fresh paint still slightly there in the background but everything looked clean and fresh. "Okay, not as bad as I expected."

<Elizabeth> "I liked sharing a room with Jess, when she was there that is. I'm going to miss the company a little but it's nicer to have the privacy." The room was the same shade as hers only she'd already found posters to cover it up. "So far the place is being painted the same shade of magnolia all over."

<Sue> "Cheaper to buy in bulk," She grinned, "I'm sure, given enough time, we'll make it our own."

<Elizabeth> "Shouldn't be too hard, no doubt we'll get a mutant soon that can spray ink or goo everywhere." Dragging the last bag inside, she put it down by the new bed.

<Sue> "That would be fun and disgusting all at once," Sue giggled, "And yet another use for my awesome bubble power. Thanks for the help..."

<Elizabeth> "No problem, now shall I take you for tea now or you want some time unpacking first?" She dropped the map on the table for Sue as she mainly knew the way around now.

<Sue> "Kitchen would be great, I can unpack later. I really want a cuppa!" She laughed, extracting the bag that contained her laptop and phone so she could send a text to her parents to let them know she'd arrived safely.

<Elizabeth> Nodding, Elizabeth lead the way back out of the door and down the stairs. "You're not the only one, kicking about in the snow is cold business and in the city isn't much better for walking either."

<Sue> "Think I'll be getting a lot of use out of my fields this year then. Easy mode!" Sue tossed her own coat onto her bed as she followed Elizabeth back to the stairs.

<Elizabeth> Elizabeth laughed as she walked along. "I haven't quite gotten the hang of using mine as a walk way yet but I can use them to shove snow out of the way much to the amusement of some children this morning."

<Sue> "Woo! Walking snow plough!" She paused, grinning as the idea came to her, "Can we do that on the lawn?"

<Elizabeth> Looking out of the window, she nodded. "I shouldn't see why not I do need the practice anyway."

<Sue> "Eeeexcellent." Sue did her best Mr Burns impression. "Tea first though, of course."

<Elizabeth> Elizabeth laughed a bit harder then as they headed down and towards the new sparkly kitchen, so far undestroyed by students. "I think I need a bit of mocha actually, need the pick me up."

<Sue> "Oh don't, now you've got me wanting a cinnamon latte...." Sue wrinkled her nose a little before making a bee-line for the kettle.

<Elizabeth> "Well have a cinnamon latte then, we have a shiny new coffee machine over there." She chuckled, getting a mug down and the bits to make her mocha.

<Sue> "Tea first.... maybe a latte afterwards." She eyed the coffee machine. "I think I like SHIELD."

<Elizabeth> "I certainly do, we even have slow cookers and bread makers now. Though the coffee machine and 100 function oven are by far the best."

<Sue> "Mmmm fresh bread!" Sue liked the sound of that almost as much as the new coffee machine with all the bells and whistles.

<Elizabeth> "Yeeeeaaah the moment I figure out how to, I'm so making fresh bread for the best bacon butties I can construct on this earth." Watching her coffee form into exsistence in front of her.

<Sue> "Oh I can do that - we have a bread maker at home."

<Elizabeth> "Think you can show me? Bacon butty is calling me horribly." She smiled happily as her coffee finished and picked it up.

<Sue> "Sure, I practically memorised most of the booklet." She grinned, invisibling some of the doors on the cupboards to look for ingredients.

<Elizabeth> "Thats still so damn weird to watch." Blowing on her cup as she watched the doors in turn vanish and reappear.

<Sue> Sue giggled, "Yeah, first few times it was a bit strange and I didn't like doing it but now it's kind of fun."

<Elizabeth> "I'm just trying to fine tune my moving objects about without touching them. So far I get go full tilt or not at all." She grabbed a few biscuits out of a jar.

<Sue> "It's just practice."

<Elizabeth> "It's either a lot of practice or my brain just wants to blow things to pieces secretly... or not so in my case." Smiling a little, she dropped into a seat.

<Sue> "Well maybe there's some pent-up rage in there somewhere," she offered a grin, "First few times my fields manifested I broke things... knocked people over."

<Elizabeth> "I keep trying to move cups or pencils and end up throwing them across the room and smashing them." She chuckled a little. "Me? Pent up anger? Never!"

<Sue> "Oh no, of course not, what was I thinking?" She measured out the ingredients for the bread and tossed them into the bread maker.

<Elizabeth> "I mean, that's almost like saying I like crushing things with my mind and tearing the doors off cars." The little chuckle continuing as she sipped her coffee.

<Sue> "Oh yeah and who would ever find that fun ever?" She finished loading up the bread maker and set the timer.

<Elizabeth> "Oh no one, especially not me on enough medication to start my own pharmacy." She watched with fascination as Sue started the bread maker.

<Sue> Sue laughed, leaning against the counter, "Remind me not to become a target of that rage, there."

<Elizabeth> "I wouldn't worry. My rage has a very specific target living back in Blighty." Ellizabeth smiled a little more evily to herself.

<Sue> "Oooh the plot thickens! I love a bit of gossip!"

<Elizabeth> "I wouldn't call it gossip, just family issues. As normal, all the family troubles are being blamed on the disowned freak member of the family."

<Sue> "Ugh, don't you just hate being a scapegoat?" She frowned, "Don't worry about it, you're allll the way over here where they can't make you do anything."

<Elizabeth> "I'm just glad I haven't had contact for the last few years.... but the pain and anger is... it's still kind of there you know?" She sniffed, her nose wrinkling a little.

<Sue> "Well maybe they're less asshole-ish now? You never know... time can be a good thing with that stuff, believe me I know."

<Elizabeth> "I just can't be bothered to see if they are, the people I consider family are here and Martin and his boyfriend back in England. The people that give two shits about me." She smiled over at her friend.

<Sue> "Aww," Sue giggled, "Well if you change your mind and they turn out to still be gits and you need someone to give them an invisible kick up the backside - I'm your girl."

<Elizabeth> "Haha thanks, though I wouldn't see the point in wasting the energy on them. I'd rather we spent the energy messing about with shields than on idiots not worth our time." She nicked another biscuit and nibbled on it.

<Sue> "But... messing with SHIELD and idiots is so much fun to do at the same time!"

<Elizabeth> Elizabeth snorted her coffee then through giggles, imagining her father walking into so very many glass walls. "Hmmmm.....true.... very true."

<Sue> "Seeeeee now you get it." She grinned evily, "Anyone around here we can mess with while we wait.... let's invisible snowbomb SHIELD!"

<Elizabeth> ".... What get the SHIELD people...... oh my fucking gods YES!" Nearly dropping her coffee in excitement as the idea formulated.

<Sue> "Woo! Let's go!" She dashed for the door, "Shenanigans!"
"The secondary penis slides into view. And they all lived happily ever after."
