Current timeline

<Paige> Full and very satisfied from their gourmet dinner, Paige sighed and took Bobby's arm as they left the restaurant. "That may have been the best dessert I've ever had, except for the one in Bermuda." The stars twinkled above the couple as they reached the frosty night air. They immediately caught Paige's attention, and she paused to look up at them.

<Bobby> "It was pretty darn tasty! But I know of something tastier..." He was preparing to go in for a playful nom on Paige when the shiny got her. He craned his neck back to look up as well. "It is pretty."

<Paige> "Hmmm? What's what?" Paige asked, glancing over at him after a moment of stargazing.

<Bobby> "Pretty," he repeated with an indulgent grin. "The sky's pretty." Looking back up at the sky, he shrugged one shoulder. "And I suppose you aren't so bad either."

<Paige> It took just a moment before her face gave away the fact that she got what he was saying. She buried her face against his chest, wrapping her arms around him and giggling.

<Bobby> "Giggle, giggle! Have I ever told you I looove that sound?" He held onto her tight and spun them in a circle.

<Paige> Giggling more despite herself, Paige blushed harder. "Maybe... Not sure... but I am glad you loooove it!" She held onto him tightly as they spun.

<Bobby> "Loooove!" He laughed and set her back down, giving her a loud kiss on the forehead. "The sky's pretty, but we let's go see some sparklies a little closer to the ground, yeah?"

<Paige> She wrinkled her nose at him, still giggling. "I like the way you think! Annnnnnd our transportation is here!" She grinned, pulling him toward a white horse hitched to a white carriage covered in lights.

<Bobby> "Sweet! I really feel like we should be bursting into song and practicing some choreography right about now, babe." He hummed, offering her his arm for a formal escort to the filigreed metal carriage. Yes, it was totally shaped like a pumpkin, and yes, it sparkled.

<Paige> "All my life has been a series of doors in my face, and then suddenly I bump into yoooou!" She sang at him, distracted slightly with the carriage. She glanced down at her pink gown. She could totally step up there in this!

<Bobby> "Yeah but that implies I'm evil, and hey! Totally not." He realized the thing was higher than it looked and put his hands around her waist to give her a boost. With the pink dress and princess coat she looked the part. "Alley-oop, babe!"

<Paige> "Whee!" She laughed as she was helped into the carriage, gracefully taking her seat. "Well that's true... but I really like the song! It's so cute!"

<Bobby> "Yeah, yeah, just call me Hans." He poked out his tongue and climbed into the carriage, locating the blanket and tucking Paigey in before he climbed in beside her. "On, Jeeves!" The driver managed not to roll his eyes and clucked at the white horse to begin.

<Paige> Paige couldn't help but laugh as she snuggled into Bobby, slipping her hand into his. "Do you want to share the blanket? Be warm and toasty with me?"

<Bobby> "I'm always warm and toasty with you, babe." He waggled his eyebrows at her, then lifted the blanket just enough to slide under and put his arm around her. Wow, there were even bells on this carriage. "Oooooh, dashing through the snoooow," he started, off key.

<Paige> "In a one horse open sleigh!" Paige's face just lit up like the lights on the carriage, snuggling into her man as they sang and rode through the streets of town.

<Bobby> They made it to the chorus and he took a deep breath before belting it out as they entered a large and really extra sparkly park. "....all the way! Whoa! Look at that!" Bobby pointed ahead at an archway of white and blue lights. "Song change! Let it gooo..."

<Paige> "Let it gooo! Can't hold it back anymooooore!" Paige pointed out a sparkly angel as they continued to carol through the lights.

<Bobby> Bobby spotted a chubby snowman with a jaunty hat and corncob pipe picked out in lights. "Sorry, buuuut that might be me in thirty years or so, fair warning."

<Paige> "Oh never. I would not let you wear that hat with that pipe." Paige teased, grinning at him and kissing his cheek.

<Bobby> "Hat would need to be pink? Matching suspenders?" He leaned back and leveled his hand just below his sternum. "Pants about here?"

<Paige> "With a pink bowtie! Because bowties are cool. Awww you would be a cute little old snowman like the guy in UP meets Olaf!" She placed her hand over his. "Just adorable."

<Bobby> "Bwahahaa!" He pulled Paige closer. "Full points for the Who love, Paigeypoo! Great work!"

<Paige> Her smile firmly in place, Paige laughed and looked up at him, all cuddled up. "I have the best teacher after all. Which reminds me.... There's something I wanted to tell you."

<Bobby> "Oh yeah? You are now the master?" He giggled, giving her a jostle that shook the whole carriage a little.

<Paige> "Nooo! And he's crazy!" She laughed, sighing a little. "No... I just.. I just needed to say it. I know that this isn't what you always pictured. And I know that this isn't what you always wanted. But for me... my path to you has been filled with disaster after disaster. And I feel like I've waited for this... for you... my entire life." She looked down at her hands to avoid eye contact, shy and nervous all of a sudden.

<Bobby> The start of her little speech made him nervous, but his smile soon grew. "Awwww, Paigey..." Bobby curled around her. "It's..." He sighed and chewed his lip. "The life I had before... a-and Dee? Yeah, it'll always be there... but if I just stayed there, it's not fair..." Babbling, Drake! "I love you, and... even though we kind of went through hell to get here, I'm happier with you than I have been for... well, a long time."

<Paige> Paige nuzzled his cheek, smiling happily. "Hell is definitely an accurate description. But at the end of the day, I get to curl up with my best friend and the love of my life. And it doesn't matter how much crap I went through that day or how much crap I've had in my life. And I live for moments like this." She closed her eyes, snuggling into him.

<Bobby> "Me too, Paigeypoo." He stroked her cheek, gaze roaming all over her face in the twinkling light. "My best friend, and the love of my life." Bobby smiled, then closed the distance for a kiss.

<Paige> Choking on a sob, Paige squeezed him tighter as she met him for the kiss.

<Bobby> Kissing was always good, but he sensed her emotion and pulled her into his lap. "I do love you, I do feel that way," he said, breaking the kiss long enough to press their foreheads together as he spoke.

<Paige> Paige pressed her forehead gently back against his, hand resting on his cheek. "I'm so thankful for that. And I'm so thankful we get to spend our lives together. You're my everything."

<Bobby> Bobby sniffed, trying to keep his own shit together. "Ditto, babe." The carriage finally came to a stop and he sat up and looked around at the lights.

<Paige> Having to look through tears made the lights twinkle that much brighter. She wiped her eyes a bit. "It's so beautiful," she whispered to him.

<Bobby> "Oh, I can make it better." He got up and leaned over the driver's seat to talk to the guy for a minute, and slip him a twenty. "Let's get out." He vaulted over the side of the carriage and put on his best Disney prince smile and offered her a hand down.

<Paige> Nervous and excited all at the same time, Paige smiled and took his hand. Getting up hadn't been so bad... but down? She swallowed.

<Bobby> Oh, she was still in that dress. Bobby created a staircase of pebbled ice, hopefully hiding it from the driver behind his back. He winked up at her.

<Paige> A huge smile back on her face, Paige gracefully stepped down the ice stairs, keeping a firm hold on his hand. "Hello Prince Charming."

<Bobby> "My princess." When she reached the bottom of the steps, he bowed, then started pulling on her hand. "C'm'on! Let's explore the sparkly!"

<Paige> "Okay!" Paige took off, pulling Bobby with her.

<Bobby> He laughed and let her drag him, venturing off the path and making the path ahead of her really hot but totally not snow-appropriate shoes into more of the rough, pebbly ice.

<Paige> Paige found a tunnel of lights across a bridge. Pausing in the middle of the bridge, Paige twirled a bit, looking up at the lights. "It's so pretty!"

<Bobby> "Sure is," he said, again not looking at the lights.

<Paige> "Oo let's go this way!" She picked up his hand again to lead him down a different way, once again off the main path.

<Bobby> Conveniently it let to an open field, and he firmed up the snow and ice under her feet. "Okay, one sec!" Bobby stepped away from her and closed his eyes to concentrate.

<Paige> "What am I...." Seeing him concentrating, she immediately shut up to let him do that.

<Bobby> Snow and ice from the field rose up from the field and started to form into intricate patterns. Bobby started humming a certain inspirational song and opened his eyes, deciding to use his hands too for a little extra drama. The ice castle swirled into shape and rose higher and higher.

<Paige> A castle. A castle made of ice. Paige's draw dropped as she stared up in disbelief at the castle formed around them. She had no words, just sheer amazement. Still afraid to talk, she just stared. And twirled just a little, smiling.

<Bobby> Her reaction made him grin and build the castle even higher. It had been way too long since he'd done something like this.

<Paige> "It's just like Elsa's," Paige marveled. "Only like a thousand times better." She moved carefully, spinning around here and there to take it in from every angle. "Can we live here?!"

<Bobby> "The cops might wonder about that a little bit, babe, but it's ours for now." He went back over to her and bowed.

<Paige> Blushing and unable to contain her excitement any long, Paige squealed. "This is amazing!"

<Bobby> Bobby laughed. "I'm glad you like it!" The city lights did give it a pretty cool glow. "I really need to do this for Rip sometime."

<Paige> "Ohhh we'll have to dress up as Elsa before you do that. Make it more fun."

<Bobby> "Okay, you can dress up as Elsa," he laughed. "I think I'll keep the drag shows on the lowdown for the kid for now, y'know!"

<Paige> "Drag shoes? These don't drag..." Paige looked down at her shoes, confused.
<
<Bobby> Bobby blinked and started laughing. "Yeah, I love you!" He swung her around and started dancing to music only he heard.

<Paige> "Whee!" Paige closed her eyes and held onto him. "I love you too!"

<Bobby> While her eyes were closed, he created an ice pillar underneath them and lifted them slowly to the second level of the castle.

<Paige> Thankfully, Paige was distracted by pulling Bobby into a sweet kiss, sliding her fingers through his hair.

<Bobby> Bobby drew her closer, finishing their ascent and creating a floor beneath her and opening up the roof above. "Look up, babe," he whispered, pulling back just enough to speak.

<Paige> She followed his direction and looked up, gasping at how clear and close the stars looked. "Oh Bobby..." she breathed, glad for his arms around her.

<Bobby> "Happy to be of service," he said with a snicker.

<Paige> She wrinkled her nose at him, kissing the tip of his own. "You... won't um... we won't fall right?" She glanced down a little nervously.

<Bobby> Bobby stamped his foot down. "Floor's solid babe, and even if it wasn't, you've got me."

<Paige> Face flushing, Paige nuzzled him just a little. "I think I have the better end of this deal," she confessed, squeezing him a bit.

<Bobby> "Nope! I do." Bobby kissed her nose.

<Paige> Giggling, Paige ruffled his hair. "Too cute!" She kissed him softly before looking up at the stars again. "You can see the stars really well back on the farm."

<Bobby> "Maybe we're not gonna get married there, but we should go back, like, before. To visit."

<Paige> "Maybe for New Year's?" She asked, looking back into his blue eyes. "Or Easter?"

<Bobby> New Year's was really close, but... "Easter! The weather should be decent by then, and... well, if your folks are pissed maybe I can suck up?" His own parents had taken the news well, especially his father. Shocker, since Paige looked completely human.

<Paige> "They love you! They'll be glad to see you and Ripley. For the first time.. everything just feels... right." She leaned up to kiss him again.

<Bobby> "Yeah... I agree, babe. It's all right." He leaned down to kiss her, his fingers tangling in her hair.
