10/8 Instance: Yet Anole Student

Timelined after Taking out the Trash

Bobby: Bobby took a sip of Mountain Dew on his way into the rec room, glancing at the television out of the corner of his eye. "Yeech, sharks again."

Tessa: Tessa sprawled on the back of a chair, her head down where her feet should have been, writing on a notepad. Homework was for now her sworn enemy.

Josh: Josh was lying on the couch and had been lying on the couch for two hours. He was napping, because sleep was healthy, and because he hadn't gotten much of it since coming to this crazy place. He was drooling on the pillow.

Rogue: Rogue sat curled against the arm of the couch, having to push Josh's feet off of hers every now and then. Hey, it kept him from snoring. She looked over and smiled, "Heya, Bugsy. Want me ta change it?"

Tessa: "Again? Jesus, we're landlocked. Cable doesn't know that?" Tessa leaned her head back to look at the upside-down television screen.

Bobby: "God, yes," he said, flopping into the chair by the sofa. "There have to be something else on. Cartoons. Movies. Porn. Anything!"

Josh: "You people are loud," Josh mumbled into the pillow.

Rogue: Rogue laughed as she flipped through, stopping on 'Golden Girls'. "This good?" She reached out with her socked foot and nudged Josh in the butt. "Hush. Go back to sleep."

Tessa: "Porn? At this hour?" She tilted her head to look back at Bobby.

Bobby: Bobby paused mid-sip. Golden Girls. That made him think of Jackie, and that was never good. Recovering, he glanced at Tessa. "Hey, never underestimate the power of Skinemax."

Rogue: Rogue reached out and pushed Bobby with the tips of her fingers just hard enough to put him off balance in his chair, "Ah don't think we could all agree on tha same porn. ...Or could we?"

Tessa: Tessa sat up with her knees almost touching her shoulders, staring, before she tunred around to sit properly. "ONe day somebody has got to enlighten me on the American fascination with sex."

Anole: anole paused slightly as he stood just ajar from the rec room where loud laughter and convesation could be heard. "I don't know if i can do this?" he was unsure of himself otherwise glancing up to Dr.McCoy.

DrMcCoy: Hank smiled at the new student reassuringly. "Of course you can. These students were once just like you. Everyone was a little hesitant on his or her first day." He paused in leading Victor to the rec room when he heard someone mention sex.

Bobby: "Hey, dollface!" Bobby sat back up in the chair and shot a glance at her. "I dunno. Depends if you like vam--" He cut off when McCoy appeared in the doorway.

Anole: "yeah right" he mumbled to himself knowning that there was'nt probably many that looked like a lizard. he followed the doctor into the common room avoiding many of the strange people's curious glances at him.

Rogue: Rogue raised an eyebrow at Tessa, "Like you don't like sex." Her grin faded as she followed Bobby's gaze.

DrMcCoy: "Children," Hank started, looking around the rec room. "I'd like you all to meet Victor. He's, ah, new."

Rogue: Rogue smiled and waved at the new kid, "Hey, sugah! How are ya?!"
Bobby: "Hey, dude," Bobby grinned, taking another drink. Green. That was new.

Tessa: Tessa smiled brightly at Rogue. "Did I say--hi!" She stopped mid-sentence and turned around to wave at the new kid coming in. "Another Vic?"

Josh: Josh snorted loudly in his sleep and said something that sounded like "yo," but may have just been a groan.

Anole: anole coughed slightly at his introduction, he simply hated the name Victor but sucked it up. "er.. huh? hello" his voice was strained with embrassment. "hey what's up?" was the only thing that managed to be a reply to the others.

Tessa: "The answer to that might depend on who you ask. I'm Tessa." She came out from around the chair and held out a hand to shake the new kid's...though he did look really nervous.

Bobby: Bobby leaned forward and smacked Josh lightly on the leg. "Hey, dude, got popcorn hangover or just too tired to say hi to the newb?"

DrMcCoy: Hank observed the students, praying they didn't frighten Victor too much, or God forbide, blow anything up on his first day. He squeezed the boy's shoulder with a big hand. "I'll leave you to get acquainted."

Josh: Josh hissed and sat up, his hair sticking up every which way. "Hmm, I wonder why you'd think that," he snarled. "Since my room has recently been transformed into a popcorn brewery."

Bobby: "Popcorn ain't brewed, dude. It's popped. Hence the name." He smiled around his drink.

Anole: "Hey tess" he managed a smirk, comforted by the other's friendliness while the doctor had departed for the duration. "don't tell me, you're wearing stone washed jeans?" this was the first time he had lighted up.

Rogue: Rogue laughed at Bobby then looked back to Victor, "Ah'm Rogue, by tha way. Do ya wanna come sit an' mingle?"

Josh: Josh gaped at Bobby. "No kidding, ya think?" he replied in mock-astonishment. He looked at the new green kid. "Hey, I'm Josh. And this guy is an ass. Watch out for him," he said, thumping Bobby's head. "He's a menace to polite society."

Bobby: "Hey, hey, hey!" Bobby leaned back away from Josh's thump. "I prefer to think I'm the antidote to the boredom of polite society."

Anole: "Whoa whoa, slow down... too many intros" he called out due to the flood of names and faces. "Rogue right? southern from the sounds of it and Josh, i'll take your advice" his eyes narrowed on bobby moving slightly as he felt comfortable with girls.

Rogue: Rogue laughed, "Yes sir, Ah am from tha south. Georgia originally."

Anole: "ah! knew it" his eyes sparkled, coming to a stop behind rogue. "i was thinking you were an alabama girl"

Tessa: Tessa had to look down at her jeans to make sure they were the ones she thought she was wearing. "Ahh, yeah. Stone wash. Forgive the shirt, I'm out of classes for the day." She gestured to the long-sleeved crop top.

Bobby: Bobby noticed the eye from the new kid and saluted. "Sorry - don't listen to the humorless wonder here. I'm Bobby."

Josh: "What's humorous about feeling totally beat after a long day, and coming home to finding a popcorn swimming pool where your bed used to be?" Josh griped.

Anole: anole cocked his head, moving up and down tessa. "good fashion sense, you would pass for a california girl" he grinned while adding. "bobby, would you rather that or bob?" he asked, trying to joke with the boys.

Josh: "He'd rather be called Ass."

Tessa: Tessa laughed at that comment. "I'm from halfway round the world. Greece." She turned to Josh. "You could have asked any one of us and we'd've helped you move all the popcorn."

Bobby: "Just Bobby," he said distractedly, glancing at Josh again with a raised brow. "Joking, dude. Chill. It's not like we ruined you for life."

Josh: "I haven't moved it yet," he replied with a suggestive lift of the eyebrows. "I'm just pissed I'm kicked out of my room unless I plan to eat in my sleep. I don't care, man, just expect revenge."

Anole: "forgive me but what's this about popcorn?" he questioned, running his hand through the hard spiked tips on his head. "Okay, bobby it is then" although he planned to pretty much stay away from the larger boy.

Bobby: "Fair enough." He'd heard the revenge line before. "You met Japh yet? He's got something that would take care of your corn problem."

Josh: "Bobby filled my room with popcorn," Josh informed Victor. "I haven't met Japh. Does he have a giant dustpan?"

Tessa: "No, but he has Eany and Meany who are always hungry." She smiled. "I should know."

Bobby: "Hey, wasn't my idea." He took another sip of his drink. "So, Victor, he said? Where you from, man?"

Anole: "tsk tsk, you should really be much cleverer than that" he said while listening to the other's conversation. "huh oh? Los angeles" he replied in answer to the question.

Tessa: "Cool. So what do you like to do?" Tessa leaned over the chair and picked up the glass she'd had sitting on the floor next to her head.

Anole: "eh, the usual suspects... shopping, clubbing.. that sorta thing" he shrugged lightly as he came to a sitting position on the couch's arm. "and i like to tattoo in my spare time, been working on it" he added quickly.

Bobby: "Tattoo? Really? Cool. Don't have any myself, but my girlfriend does. Looks..." he took another drink. "Painful."

Tessa: Tessa chuckled into her glass. "I'm with Bobby. The amount of skin my hobby shows, I'd rather not have ink on it."

Anole: He chuckled lightly "it's not that painful, it's the safest high you can get apart from drugs or alcohol" as he would expose the tribal tattoo on his upper arm near the shoulder. "suit yourself" he said while adding to the conversation "but there's just something about tattoos that are sexy? you know"

Rogue: Rogue pushed up her sleeve to her elbow and pulled her glove a bit off her hand to show Victor the tattoo of a rose on her right wrist, "Only one Ah got, but Ah love it."

Anole: "that's quite a beautiful one you got, i love it.. who did it?" he was always curious to learn who did the work on various individuals.

Rogue: "Thanks" She pulled her sleeve back down, followed by her glove, "Ah don't know tha guy's name, but it was at Sealed In Skin in Baton Rouge."

Tessa: Tess sidled over to Bobby. "Why don't I stay over here with the sane person..."

Bobby: Bobby glanced at Tessa, remembering the day in the gym not long ago. "Hey, opinions on my sanity vary, but you're welcome to add to the discussion."

Anole: "sealed in skin? afraid i've never heard of it but have you heard of High Voltage? Kat von D works there" he replied, hoping that the others recognized the name. "She's my idol"

Josh: Josh sighed and sat all the way up to make room for the newcomer on the couch. "Kat von D? She's hot," he said reluctantly.

Tessa: Tess glanced at Bobby and saw the questionable look on his face. "I already talked with Remy. It's worked out."

Anole: "if you say so? she's beautiful but sadly i'm not straight" he waggled his finger on the couch's material. "but yeah she's hot" he had hoped the others wouldn't notice him revealing his sexual orientation.

Rogue: Rogue smiled at him, "Ah love her work. She is very pretty."

Rogue: "Ya'd get along well with a few of our other male classmates then." She winked at him and reached over to squeeze his hand comfortingly.

Bobby: "Was I thinking out loud?" He winced, forcing the shields he'd learned from Lizzie back up. "I didn't mean anything... it's good you worked it out. You okay?"

Bobby: He glanced over at Victor. Ah... he should introduce him to Jay.

Tessa: Tessa caught the 'I'm not straight' bit in between thinking and opening her mouth. "Hey, I've got a girlfriend and a boyfriend. You'd get along well with people here." She turned back to Bobby. "Couple people think I need to see a shrink, does that constitute okay?"

Anole: anole blinked as he cursed himself for giving it away so easily. "i hope so, rogue" he said in a whisper only loud enough for her to hear while returning the comforting squeeze. "wha? you have a boyfriend and a girlfriend?!" he whipped to face tessa. "how does that work?"

Rogue: Rogue glanced over to Tessa, "Ya fine, sugah. Don't listen ta other people. Everybody has their off days...."

Tessa: "Open relationship. No broken hearts that way."

Bobby: "Quite a few people around here have that both ways thing going on -- seems to work if you want it to," he said, then looked back at Tessa. "Well, if you think you're okay, then that's what matters, yeah?"

Rogue: Rogue nodded, "Yeah, Ah'm in one too. No girls involved on mah end though..."

Anole: he would widen his eyes at the racy comment. "but? how?" he muttered, settling back into the couch. "you guys are much more advanced than me when it comes to relationship"

Tessa: Tessa grinned at the new Victor, settling back on the couch. "It's not complicated. Everyone here's pretty approachable. Except...stay away from Sean. You'll find him out soon enough."

Rogue: Rogue smiled softly at him, "You'd be suprised. Remy's tha first thing Ah've come ta a relationship besides one guy since Ah manifested." She caught Tessa's eye and gave her a slight nod.

Bobby: He looked over at Tessa at that. Sean?

Anole: chews his lower lip. "sean? he sounds like bad news? and well... i know but i have to admit, i've never been in a relationship, let alone been kissed" the boy's eyes gave hopeful sparks to the girls.

Rogue: She laughed, "If it makes ya feel any better, mah first kiss was a disaster. Put him in a coma. So it's not all their cracked up to be."

Tessa: "Ohhh, that'll change. I was never in a relationship before I cam here and now I've got two of them." She turned to smile at Rogue. "Feel happy, you didn't hear what your first crush actually thought about you."

Josh: "Everyone here is just here to kiss each other," Josh said, still nursing his bad mood. "Don't sweat it."

Rogue: She nodded at Tessa, "Sure Ah did. He told tha whole school what he thought about me after he came out of it."

Anole: "really? it looks like i have lots to learn from y'all" he exclaimed after realizing. "you put him into a coma? you must be one damn good kisser girl!" he grinned.

Rogue: Rogue frowned at Josh, "Stop it. Ya gonna scare him off."

Bobby: "Well, we're not here just for that, dude." He rolled his eyes at Josh.

Tessa: Tessa grimaced. "Oh that bastard." She smiled and patted her roommate on the shoulder, carefully keeping her hand on the shirt, away from skin.

Rogue: She blushed some, "Thanks, but it's mah powers... Ah cain't touch skin ta skin. Just recently found out Ah can if Ah'm drunk though. Which is cool..."

Anole: "so... thats why you wear the gloves?" as he put two and two together. "and what about you two?" he motioned to bobby and josh. "seeing anyone?" his comfort level rose steadily due to the others.

Bobby: Bobby leaned toward Tessa. "Hey... Sean?" Of course, she was there when he'd dragged Lorna off, but somehow he didn't think that was what she was referring to.

Josh: Josh sighed, lolling his head back and staring at the sun. "Chill, guys. Storm cloud's movin' out." He forced himself to stand and stretched, yawning. He clapped Victor on the shoulder. "Nah, man. I'm single. Welcome to the club, dude." So saying, he scratched his neck and walked out.

Rogue: "Yeah, an' tha long sleeves." She pointed to her feet, "An' tha socks. All ya really gotta be careful of is mah neck an' face."

Anole: anole jumped at the sharp clap on his shoulder. "disappointing...." he thought to himself, watching josh about to leave. "is that so? but at least you haven't killed anyone?.... right?" his voice rose shakeily.

Tessa: Tessa looked at Bobby. "What about him? He's a prick and an ass. And stupid." She shook her head, thinking of the gun in its box that was laying as far underneath her bedside table as it would go.

Bobby: "Very taken, here," he said, looking at his watch. "In fact, I'm meeting her in half an hour."

Bobby: He paused. "Killed? No, man." He thought of Bruce. But he hadn't done that. And he hadn't died.

Rogue: She smiled, "Nearly once. But tha whole physical aspect is just a side effect. Ah'm what ya'd call an absorber. If Ah touch ya, Ah absorb ya powers, memories, an' any talents ya might have. Tha memories stay, everythin' else you'll get back in time. So long as ya don't get touched f' too long. Like, Ah can now permanently fly an' have super strength."

Rogue: "An' ya don't always go inta a coma. That depends on how long Ah touch ya."

Tessa: Tessa pointedly avoided the killing question and listened to Rogue tell Victor about her powers. Tess thought to herself that she had to come up with a good, short explanation for hers.

Bobby: "A stupid ass prick, eh?" Bobby thought about that. "Yeah, sounds real charming. I haven't seen much of him, actually."

Anole: "ah okay well i get the idea of it" he spoke while wondering why tessa was avoiding the question but decided not to push it too much.

Tessa: Tessa inhaled and decided to get the power talk over with sooner rather than later. "Simply put, I'm a telepath who can see your mutant DNA and jumpstart your powers if they're latent." She gave him a big smile.

Rogue: Rogue nodded, "Nicely put, Tessa. Short an' sweet."

Tessa: She looked at the clock on her cell phone, noticing the time and biting her lip. "Which reminds me, I'm going to be late for a talk with Father Wagner about the language class if I don't hurry. See you guys later!" She waved and picked up her bag, slinging it over her shoulder as she jogged out the door.

Anole: chuckles easily "that's really amazing, my powers pales in comparison to yours" he remarked, ashamed of his own powers but instead perked up. "well, does anyone know the way to the residences? or?" questioned if he should get one of them or McCoy to show him.

Bobby: Bobby watched Tessa go, thinking, then stood and stretched. "Yeah, dude, I can show you," he said.

Rogue: Rogue waved after Tessa then turned back to Victor with a smile, "Bugsy'll treat ya real good." She winked at Bobby, "Ya best hurry 'fore Ah put it back on tha shark show."

Anole: Anole smirked at bobby. "you sure? you don't have to do that. you know?" he said offically at ease. nodding to rogue. "alright, see you later then"

Rogue: "Welcome to tha school sugah. Ah'm glad ya came."

Bobby: "Ooo, threats. You know I like those, Dollface." He poked out his tongue and ran an iced finger down her bare cheek.

Rogue: She shivered and wiped her cheek, "That's so not nice."

Anole: He nodded at the southern girl. "i think i'm going to like it here" he murmured happily before looking at Bobby as he would quote Casablanca. "i think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."

Bobby: "Walk this way, man." He winked at Victor Mark Two and led the way.

Anole: "alright, might as well. you know the way around here" he said before following bobby and his nicely built assets.
