Name: Miles Morales
Alias: Spider-Man
Birthday: October 13, 1996
Hair: Black
Eyes: Black
Height: 5' 6"
Weight: 130 lbs
Nationality: American
Known Relatives:

Duke Morales - Father, born in Brooklyn, a union rep for his innercity NY construction company, Miles' Father works long, thankless hours so he can provide for his family and both his wife and his sons' education as well as represent the community and people he grew up with and help protect their way of living. He is named after Jazz singer, Edward "Duke" Ellington. Miles is named after Miles Davis, in the same tradition.

Pelar Sanchez Morales - Mother, born in Puerto Rico. Has a Masters (and is working on a PhD) in Spanish-American History.

Hobbie Brown Morales - Miles' uncle Hobbie was adopted and brought into Miles' father's family when he was 12. Spending his life as a wayward boy, he developed into a conman and then into a thief. Like his adoptive brother, both were intelligent bur Miles' father grew into a man of strong moral standards and responsibility while Aaron became a high-tech professional thief, who was later caught and imprisoned.
Before Hobbie's imprisonment, Miles respected his uncle and became close to him. Hobbie taught Miles con-tricks, tips on skulking around silently, and how to handle expensive, delicate, and high-tech equipment. Hobbie also taught Miles everything he knows about computers and coding and safecracking. Hobbie trusted Miles with the only secret he ever kept from his brother, and Miles trusted his Uncle Hobbie with the only secret he has ever had to keep. The only person who knows Miles is a mutant is his uncle Hobbie.

Abilities:

Superhuman Strength: Miles possesses Superhuman strength, able to cause harm to a Super Powered individual with a single punch. His physical strength also extends into his legs, enabling him to be able to jump to a height of several stories in a single bound. He has unmeasured amounts of upper and lower body strength as seen by how much he can lift as well as an increased sense of stamina that allows him to hold onto things such as ledges, for a bit longer than most.

Superhuman Durability: Miles' body is physically tougher and more resistant to some types of injury than the body of a normal human. His body is also more resistant to impact forces than most humans. He can withstand great impacts, such as being thrown through a plate-glass window, brick wall, or into the windshield of a car, that would severely injure or kill a normal human.

Superhuman Agility: Miles' agility, balance, and bodily coordination are all enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of a regular human athlete. He is extraordinarily limber.

Multilingual Miles was raised in a multi-cultured home. He speaks perfect English, being this is his first language. He can communicate, fluently, in Spanish when need be, but this is not his go-to language. He feels that when he speaks it he is immediately targeted/stereotyped as an outsider or illegal immigrant.

Powers:

Wall-Crawling: Miles can cling to any surface using just his fingertips and feet. The extent to how much pressure he can stick to walls is thus far unknown, except that he can handle lifting within 100 pounds over his own weight.

Spider-Sense: When danger is present, Miles feels a buzzing sensation in his head as a sort of warning system, allowing him to react accordingly. His Spider-Sense seems to be greatly enhanced compared most Arachno-mutants. On the night his Uncle, Hobbie Brown, was captured and put in prison for burglary, he dreamed the entire scuffle with the police while he slept. This suggests that Miles' ability is borderline precognitive, as opposed to only warning of immediate danger. Unfortunately, he's not yet aware of the nature of this power, so he can't respond to it efficiently. It also seems linked only to those he has personal, emotional ties to.

Venom Strike: Miles can temporarily paralyze his enemies by simply touching them with his finger tips. This provides a great advantage since Miles can end a confrontation quickly with little collateral damage. The strength of the "Venom touch" is not yet known, but its effects quickly wear off depending on the weight and stamina of his foe. (In actuality the "Venom touch" is not poisonous at all but rather electrical, effecting nerves and thus paralyzing his foes).

Spider-Camouflage: Miles, including his clothing, can blend into his surroundings, allowing him to sneak up on his enemies or, in some cases, flee from them. The resulting affect closely resembles that of invisibility.

Weaknesses:

- Miles is young and inexperienced. Overconfident is an understatement.

- Miles cannot swim.

- Miles has the proportional strength and agility of a spider, but he is just as susceptible to bullets, knives, or punches as anyone else. As a mutant, he has a heightened healing factor and the increased superhuman durability, but this only means he spends slightly less time licking his wounds than the average joe. Severe wounds are only less crippling to Miles by a fraction.

Bio:
Miles Morales was an average kid with few problems. He had gotten accepted into a lottery-based, advanced program school for "Brilliant Minds" and was striving to do his best for his parents. He knew he had to make them proud, he honestly believed his mother when she would tell him that he was meant to do great things.

Miles frequented the subway system and on one day, he saw mugger try to snatch a purse. When Miles tried to intervene, he was pushed aside and onto the tracks. Thankfully, Johnny Storm (The Human Torch), was there to save him. As a member of the X-Men he helped save Miles (though the onlookers were skeptical), and Miles was forever entranced. He began to track the X-Men's public movements. It was hero worship.

Soon after, Miles and his best friend Ganke were on their way back to the Academy For Spectacular Minds from Midtown when a large grand piano dropped from a crane. Miles felt a sensation, a chill, reach up his spine and into the back of his head, and suddenly an impulse, almost natural reaction, overcame Miles and he reached for Ganke and pulled him aside. Corny cliché aside, Miles was both surprised and impressed that he knew exactly where the piano was going to fall.

This was only the beginning...
