11/2 Instance: Covering Up the Problem

Marrina: Marrina went about hanging up decorations she'd stolen from her parents. They'd have to buy more with all she had taken.

Sue: Sue opened the door and stepped inside, pausing in the doorway, "Um...?"

Marrina: "Oh uhmm... Hi." Marrina gave her roommate a smile.

Sue: "Hi... we're decorating for halloween?"

Marrina: "If you wanna help?" She bounced over to her and gave her a big hug, she was still very appreciative of Sue saving her and protecting her. "I can take it down if you don't like it."

Sue: Sue blinked at the hug and patted her a little, "No it's fine... it's just something we don't really do at home..."

Marrina: "Oh? Not a big holiday over there?" She plugged in the lights that were wrapped around her bed and all over the room.

Sue: Sue shook her head, "Not really... it's kind of seen as an... American thing..."

Marrina: "Ahh. Well I think it's fun. I'm trying to find a costume too. Oooh! You should go trick or treating with me!"

Sue: "Trick or treating... I think I'm too old for that...."

Marrina: "Psh! So aren't"

Sue: "If you say so.... it's not really something we do back home..."

Marrina: "We can get costumes together then!"

Sue: "Oh I already have an idea for that - apparently they have parties here."

Marrina: 'Yup! What do you wanna go as?"

Sue: "It's a surprise..."

Marrina: "Ooh I like surprises."

Sue: "Me too..." she actually moved into the room now and closed the door properly, setting her bag down, "Anything I can help with, decorating wise?"

Marrina: "Uhmm I stole stuff from my parents so whatever you wanna grab and attach somewhere is fine."

Sue: "Um... okay...." she chewed her lip, looking over the decorations to see anything she could find somewhere for.

Marrina: "Uhmm can you remind me to turn them off though, cuz I would so forget."

Sue: "Uh okay..." she would definately not forget.

Marrina: "Thanks!" She smiled and gave her another hug.

Sue: Sue oofed and hugged back again, just managing to keep her balance.

Marrina: "So we need to decorate your side." How about some webs!" She pulled out the cotton.

Sue: "Um.... okay...."

Marrina: Marrina sped about putting it up and making sure it stayed. "This is awesome. I'm glad you're my room mate."

Sue: She smiled at her, moving to pin up a few things on the walls. "I'm glad you're happy."

Marrina: "Thanks." Marrina gave her a big smile.

Sue: "Have you made any friends since you got here?" she glanced over at her.

Marrina: "Uhmmm..." She bit her lip. "You?"

Sue: "Well... I kind of meant other people...."

Marrina: "I uhmm talked to your brother.... and uhmm that Danny kid... he kinda weirded me out..."

Sue: "He did? He's um... my boyfriend... everyone seems to think he's a little weird..."

Marrina: "He only seemed concerned about my powers.... It was kinda creepy."

Sue: "He's a bit shy.... and formal... it's not his fault...."

Marrina: Marrina shrugged and went back to work.

Sue: "No one else though?"

Marrina: "Not really...."

Sue: "You should try getting to know some more people in our year... they all seem pretty nice..."

Marrina: "Yeah. Just kinda... I dunno." She rubbed her arm.

Sue: "What's the matter?" she sat down on the edge of her bed.

Marrina: "Dunno, just everything feels weird. It's hard to be comfortable with people."

Sue: "I know what you mean... but you'll get used to it if you spend time with them..."

Marrina: "It's different with you I guess. And Johnny was pretty nice... But I don't feel right around people..."

Sue: "Why not?" She patted the bed beside her.

Marrina: "Dunno." She sat down next to her and pulled her knees up to her chest.

Sue: "Then what's different about Johnny and I?"

Marrina: "Dunno bout Johnny. But you're the one who saved me I guess."

Sue: "I didn't do it alone...."

Marrina: "I know... But I... I don't know." She bit her lip and tried to hold back some tears.

Sue: Sue frowned a little, "Marrina... what's the matter?"

Marrina: "I'm scared..." She snuggled up to Sue.

Sue: "Scared of what?" she put an arm around her and gave her a squeeze.

Marrina: "Everyone...." She held onto her knees tighter.

Sue: "But why? They're not going to hurt you...."

Marrina: "I... I don't know." She snuggled her tightly.

Sue: "You just need to get to know them better, that's all..."

Marrina: "I... I'm scared too... I don't like being alone with other people..."

Sue: "Well then... I'll introduce you?"

Marrina: "M..maybe." Marrina slid her arms around Sue slowly.

Sue: Sue smiled at her, "It doesn't have to be scary to meet new people."

Marrina: "Th..that's not the scary part."

Sue: "Then what is?" Sue was a little confused.

Marrina: "I...I'm afraid they'll hurt me." She started to cry softly.

Sue: She hugged her a little, "That's not going to happen, Marrina... they're friends. You're safe here, okay?"

Marrina: "What if someone does though?!" Marrina gripped her clothes and hid her face.

Sue: "They're not going to, I promise."

Marrina: Marrina looked up at Sue, her eyes still teary. "How do you know...?"

Sue: "Because this is a school for people like us... they're here to help and they look after each other."

Marrina: "But what if someone doesn't want to. What if someone's like them." She cringed and tried not to squeeze Sue too tightly.

Sue: "Marrina... everyone would have gone into that cave to save you. All of them..."

Marrina: Marrina held her close.

Sue: Sue hugged back and rubbed her back a little, "You're safe here. I promise."

Marrina: Marrina snuggled into her. "Th..thank you."

Sue: "You're welcome." she gave her a squeeze, "Now let's finish decorating and then go costume shopping."

Marrina: "C..can we just sit here for a little bit?" Marrina sniffled.

Sue: "Um... okay..." Sue gave her back another soothing rub.

Marrina: "Th..thanks." Marrina nuzzled her softly for a moment then slowly let go.

Sue: Sue chewed her lip, slightly transparent when Marrina straightened up.

Marrina: "Uhmm Sue?" She looked at where she thought her eyes were.

Sue: "Yeah?"

Marrina: "You're uhmm invisiblish." She didn't move.

Sue: "Yeah... sorry... can't help it sometimes..."

Marrina: "It's okay." She smiled a little and gave her a hug.

Sue: Sue hugged back, sighing a little.

Marrina: "Hmm?" She cocked her head.

Sue: Sue shook her head, "Nothing."

Marrina: "Uhmm okay. Th..thanks for everything Sue." She blushed a little.

Sue: "You're welcome. What are friends for?" she gave her a smile.

Marrina: Marrina kissed her cheek. "You're the best."

Sue: She blushed transparent again, "Um... thanks..."

Marrina: Marrina giggled a little. "Lets go get some sexy costumes!!!!"
