Image On the web he is. :D

Image Image Would it be possible to get one of these uploaded. Having both would be redundant.

So beeblebox is the Green smilie thing on the cover of the Hitchhicker guide huh? I have actually seen several diff smilie versions of him.

I had originally just intended the r2 to be a pic in my profile. No biggie, he is one of my fav smilies right now. Glad others like him too.

nonono, that's not Beeblebrox! That's just a green smiley with hands and a real big tongue. Beeblebrox, Zaphod Beeblebrox is none other than the super cool, space ship stealing two-headed president of the galaxy. Just read the book, will ya?:smirk:

I LOVE the Yoda smilie!

BC! Zaphod Beeblebrox is the two-headed President of the Galaxy!

Ah, kindred HHGG souls! A round of Old Janx Spirit for everyone!

I love Hitchhiker's Guide (obviously) from the moment I first read it in high school. I haven't read the books for a while, and this thread sure makes me want to go dig my copies out! I was devestated when Douglas Adams died, and on my desk at work I have a "Get Fuzzy" cartoon dedicated to him. I've seen the BBC show, but I've never heard the original radio show *ducks the rotten fruit.*

Any of you Hitchhiker fans read "The Long Dark Tea Time of the Soul" by Adams?

I listened to the Hitchhiker's Radio Show and loved it. About a year ago I picked up the original script for the British BBC radio production... for 25 cents!

I was a happy guy at that point. :D:D:D

Of course! Of course! :D I love that holistic series. Not as much as the Guide though... And Slarti, you can find the BBC show on the Internet. Don't ask me if it's legal to download it though... But it feels legal for me, since it was on the radio... But who am I to know..?

Another thing, if you haven't heard Adams read his books aloud himself, you absolutely have to! My legs feel like spaghetti when he says: "Slartibartfast"!

(BTW, if you like THHGTTH you might also check out Red Dwarf)

And "Dark Angel" is a show by James Cameron that's basically the same set up as Robert Heinlein's "Friday"

OK shmeg heads, If we all want to be truely hoopy froods we should move the hitchhiker and dwarf posts to the "Off topic Antics". If you sass what i just said then you are in serious danger of being as big a geek as me! ;)

Now, I love Tsunami she is a cool concept. The spiral clouds on her costume are great.

Darkangel, Quetzal (especially!) & Warhawk all look hot. I would love to see a comic based around some of the rejected ideas. Simply because some of the best stuff ends up being shelved for the concepts of the week that the editors think will $ell best.

I've been rearranging my comic collection and I found a couple of old Marvel Christmas specials (from '91 and '92)...both featuring Dave Cockrum 'Crawlers...I just found it kind of ironic with all the Cockrum art around here...

I've been rereading them for years, and love them very much. Paty grinds her jaws every time I quote something from Hitchhiker. She's never read it, but she hates it.

And I appear to be in a monority on one thing: I fell very much in love with Fenchurch in 'So Long and Thanks for all the Fish', and hated the way she was arbitrarily dumped into a black hole in 'Mostly Harmless'.

Reason being: I was once very much in love with a lady who was fractured in much the same way Fenchurch was fractured, and I felt very much an Arthur Dent around her. I wrote an angry letter to Douglas Adams when 'Mostly Harmless' came out, but of course, it didn't do any good. If he read it at all, he probably thought I was a nutcase. :(

Who's Zaphod Beeblebrox?
Former galactic president, he's just the hoopiest frood in the entire universe and owner of the coolest place in the galaxy (his left cranium).

Image I tried to be to accurate here. So it came out to dark. Will need to lighten. Unless Bamfette already finished her version?????
But is he really smiling?

OKay, uh, here are several questions for Dave. What did you think of Spider-Man the movie?

I loved it. It was everything I got into comics for. It was as though they took a couple of old issues and put them on the screen. It's probably the best superhero movie ever made.

:bamf:

what do you think about Kitty's new way of life? Sorry, just had to, I am a big Kitty fan.

Sorry, I don't know anything about Kitty's new way of life. I have not been keeping up wqith the books, blasphemous as that may sound.

:bamf:

Could you provide us with your latest rant on Kurt?

Haven't got a current one.

:bamf:

What do you think of James Howlett being so overused?

At the risk of being blasphemous again, I have no idea who James Howlett is. :?
