Ok, here are a couple of shots of Tootsie Pinkletoes. Sorry about the poor contrast on some of them--Barbara is just learning how to use her digital camera.

cuteness!!!!! I love pekes! I personally want a yorkie, but my fiance seems to have a thing about yappy dogs. *shrugs*

...and might I add Dave looks pretty darned good for a guy that was tryin' to flag down a ferryman on the river Styxx just a few weeks ago That puppy would make anyone feel better (Except poor Ken here, who would likely sneeze, itch and be miserable)

I'm generally a cat person, but she sure is adorable .

How could anyone resist that sweet face?

The first Peke we got was ringo...and Dave was not impressed when I wanted to bring him home. He warned me that if his eyes fell out on the carpet that I had to put them back in.
Well...we got Ringo home and within a day or two, ringo had Dave wound around his little claw. Ringo had silky hair that i hope Toots will have, too.
Our second peke was a little lady, Muppet...who Dave wanted to breed to Ringo. and she had scruffy fur...not silky as they should be...Muppet's hair never got long and silky..but she was a cutie. Ringo was gay. NO lie!!! He didn't want anything to do with girl dogs.
Our vet told us about a pup that the family that owned himdidnnn't want so we rescued an overlarge peke whom we named Moosie Two...after our first saint bernard Moose I. Moosie very rapidly showed Muppet what boy dogs were all about...LOL...and she had three puppies ...two boys and a stillborn girl. The boys were so big they had to be delivered by c section so we had Muppet spayed so that she wouldn't have to go thru that trauma ever again...cuz Ringo wasn't gonna help out here. We thin had all the pups, including the father fixed. Dave's son took the father and one of the surviving pups and we took the other pup.
Ringo and Muppet died of old age and the pup, Rolf died young after an injury he sustained jumping from a high perch.
Dave was totally attached to ringo and was devistated when he died...and somewhat less traumatized when Muppet died about half a year later. They were both quite old. But then we got Thor and have had him for several years.
Dave always wanted another peke, though...and when this little lady presented herself, I figured that something to come home to like her couldn't hurt his incentive. When I told himof her, he was thrilled and wanted daily updates...and I think she has him endirely enthralled already!

What a little powder puff! And the ittie bitty tongue! And her teenie widdle floppy ears! And I must agree on that name -- best ever! Fits that dog to a "T".

Y'know, I've never been around Pekes. I generally dislike small yappy dogs, but then we got our little Xander Nibbles in December and now I'm all about little cuddley pooches!

Puppy! *loves animals* I wish they stayed that adorable.

I can't decide which is cuter, the dog or the name. Where did "Tootsie Pinkletoes" come from? What a great name.

I can't figure out the allure of flat faced animals. I have a persian which is sort of the cat equivalent. He's the coolest cat. He starts purring if you so much as look at him. And I love his smushed face.

I never had much use or flat faced dogs before we got Ringo, our original peke. I grew up with collies, which are about as pointy-nosed as a dog gets, and I considered them the mopst beautiful of dogs, excepting, maybe, salukis, afghans and greyhounds. Ok, I'm not sure I'd call the smoosh-face beautiful...but pekes sure can be adorable as hell. And Ringo was my favorite of all the dogs I've ever had. And I've had some damn good dogs.
