Wow, that pre-dates Bart Simpson's catch-phrase by about 13 years!

Thanks, Dave. That's just about one of the strangest things I've ever seen!

What's Bart Simpson's catch phrase? I hate to show my ignorance, but I never watched the show. I had a lot of artistic objections to it.

Anyway, here's a piece I did for a convention book for Red Sonja Con, put on by the Deleware Valley Comics Convention in 1976.

Oh, yeah, I did know that. 'Eat my shorts' is an older phrase than Bart Simpson--I first heard it from Bob Layton, somewhere in the early '70s.

I would think that chain mail would pinch nipples...

But anyway, I reeeeally love how you drew 'Ro in the one where she's under the tree with Kurt...I dunno. It just seems real. :D My fave of the thread so far.

Wendy Pini (the Wicked Witch of the East) used to dress up in a very authentic Sonja costume. I once asked her if it wasn't cold in there, and she nearly took my head off with her sword (when she was in character she stayed in character). Later on she showed me the leather lining.

And I really do have a set of drawings depicting further developments under that tree. I also have a set involving Ororo and Wonder Wo...oh, damn, I'm not supposed to do that any more!

Considering how fond I am of women with long legs, she ought to be my favorite. But yeah, after Nightcrawler, I guess Storm and Phoenix are my next faves. And maybe Lilandra.

Whoops, I'm forgetting my own ladies, Silkie and Sunswift. Mosquito too, even if she does have short legs. ;pant;;pant;

My regret at the passing of Dannell Lites has reminded me of something I did in my sketchbook the day that Clayton Moore, the original TV Lone Ranger, died. :(

Here's a color piece I call 'Cylon Attack'. It first appeared in the Marvel SuperSpecial adaptation of the TV pilot of Battlestar Galactica. The Cylons on the show should only have been this dynamic.

Many of you may not be aware that there was a black & white Nightcrawler adventure, in Bizarre Adventures #37, if I recall correctly. Some of the events in issue #4 of the Nightcrawler miniseries stem from this story. Paty has three pages from it in her collection. Here's one:

Yup, I have that issue.

I first read about it in your Nightcrawler Mini, and looked for it everywhere. It's too big to fit in a comic book box, so most dealers don't have it. I finnally found one when a friend was clearing out his old stuff and came across it. I was like, "DON'T THROW THAT AWAY!!!!"

No scanner here. And Taking it to work and scanning each page might not sit too well with my bosses and coworkers...

Maybe if I go in early sometime....

Dude... if only there was a way! I have a scanner... but I don't think you're gonna want to mail it all the way to middleofnowherearkansas just to get it scanned... *sighs*

And here's another strange piece--I call it 'Wizard's convention'. For those of you who don't recognize the characters, from left to right are Gandalf (from the Ralph Bakshi cartoon), Getafix the Druid from Asterix, and, of course, Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Here's the Cover art for Blackhawk #261. This is my very favorite Blackhawk cover of all time. Since I drew it, that's an extra boot. :D
