Nightscrawlers

First thing I'd like to say is 'hello' to everyone. This is my first time here and I didn't know that there were this many Nightcrawler fans out there. :

I was afraid to start a post because I had never done so before, but thought I'd ask the question; Should Nighty carry a sword? It goes along with his swashbuckler personality and he is certainly well versed in how to use one. What do you think?

Depends what sort of sword, if it's a rapier, then yes. If it's one of those huge broudswords then no! He also looks good with fencing swords.

I don't know. I really like him having a sword. I loved when he had it in Excalibur and X-Calibre...but somehow it doesn't quite seem to fit anymore.

I think he should carry 3.

Haha...A katana. Ninja-stealth Nighty. Yeah, a fencing sword is good. Graceful like him. Nothing too broad and bulky, or it's too cumbersome.

Crawler has a point tht it would not fit his character right now... but still he was COOL with swords. a rapier or cutlass would be sweet

I still want him to have one. Or two. And he needs to use them, dammit!

I think that Cutlasses for his hands and a Rapier for his Tail would be cool!

I think he should carry at least one sword. Perhaps one with magical properties. Or not. Heh. Either way, I think it would be nice to add. He seems much more aggressive with a sword.

I love the idea of Nightcrawler having a sword with him, it makes him look more swashbuckly, rogueish and sexy. Thats why when I make attempts to draw him, I generally give him a sword.

Oh, yes I definately think Nighty should carry a sword (rapier or cutlasses will do!). He's a swashbuckler and what swash doesn't have a sword! The comics should really explore his swordsmanship alot more. :

I agree with you Kay...totally they could do much more with the sword thing may he come back to this soon...I would be happy about

Nightcrawler should carry a sword at all times. He is really cool with a sword. It makes for great fight scenes. Just read Excalibur #100.

I'm with you too Bamfette! The CCCC sounds like a good idea to me! I always thought he should carry a sword. I prefer to see him block attacks with his sword rather than always teleporting away. It would make for better fight scenes. And what swashbuckler wouldn't want better fight scenes? Also wanted to thank everyone for welcoming me. It's nice to talk with other Nighty fans!

The more swords, the better-
(I remember seeing a concept sketch with Revolution Archangel having a broadsword.... )

Although I don't think he should be limited to one Kind of Sword......

How about a scene where the X-Men are suiting up for a mission, and 'Crawler carefully examines his "Walll 'o Swords" to pick the right one for the mission at hand.............

it wasn't my intention to limit him to one type, it's just CCCC looks better than CCCS :p
