I'm not a fan of the more 'cartoonish' styles generally, but I have to agree that I do like parts of this one. I like how confident he looks and yet relaxed. I'm not so hot on the waist or the knobby shoulders or the OMG oprah hair.

Ramos just isn't my favorite lets say.

However, it's very awesome to see him front and center.

I like the cover.

And yet... All I can think of is Robert Smith:

I also like the cover. Heck, I have to admit it, I like some of Ramos' versions of characters, but others do look a bit funny, but I guess that's what you'll have to pay to get that cartoony feel to it.

The reason why I like the cartoony feel is that it stands out. It doesn't blend in like some other pictures. For instance, the Xmen/spiderman cover, the Deadpool cover, the young xmen cover, they're just too busy. The characters and backgrounds just merge into one another. It just doesn't catch your eye. Only reason for picking up one of those comics is if you go out and search for them. Hard to think that someone will walk by, give a double take and go, "Oh this looks interesting."

I've enjoyed ramos since X-nation 2099.
sometimes he is a bit much though. his art (esp. with the colorist)was really good in Revelations.

Regarding Kurt's hair...i sorta like it. we can attribute it to Bianchi's designs (which have already been posted to the site). also he is sitting high up, the wind would have some fun with it.

I liked this issue. This was by far out one of my fav versions of him. He looks real young, his hair is nice, this is how I always wanted to see him. The cover is ok, but in other issues they always tend to make :smirk look more vulgar and older. I like him as a cute teenager, good issue! :)

It's very "Peter Pan".

Now that I think of it, I have always wanted to read a comic about Peter Pan adventures! We was supposed to have a Christmas presentation before my trainer got fired, and pick a Disney character to present, I picked Peter Pan and Tinkerbell! I wanted to present the 2, have been Fans of them for a long time. Its the same with :lick, I have always wanted to see him as a young swashbuckling Peter Pan, while I see Pixie as a tiny Tinkerbell. They could go on adventures together and fly and have merry times with Wendy aka :wanda , and when they :wan-kurt :kiss , and :pixie Tink gets jealous, :engarde crushes her and eats her for lunch! :bite :P

I :love that!

Ramos is one of my favorites! I love his depiction of Venom! And that Kurt isn't too bad either, I love it!

O.O No. I guess we weren't looking at his "digits". That is at least the second, maybe the third time, an artist has made that mistake.

Very observant, NinjaMisha.

Yes. I believe it's artist Simone Bianchi's fault (and every single person at Marvel who didn't catch the error). This problem didn't start until after he had posted a new costume/character design for Kurt, giving him three fingers and toes in the process. Before this, Ramos and everyone else had drawn Kurt with the right amount of digits, but suddenly, those extra fingers and toes started popping up all over the place.
How can we have faith in them giving Kurt proper characterization when they can't even get that right?

I'm at school right now which, for some reason, blocks the picture.... Damn. :mad I don't think I've ever seen any of Ramos' work.

Oh, thank you! :cracked My school doesn't block photobucket, thankfully!

Yeah, his hair's a little too...bushy. And the ears are a tad too long. Other than that, I kinda like it.

Ramos has had runs on Runaways, Wolverine, Impulse, X-Nation, Crimson, Out There, Spiderman (both Peter Parker and Spectacular), Revelations (loved his work on this series, with the colorist the art on this one was phenominal!), X-Men

I think his stuff is pretty good. Sometimes he exagerates a bit to much.
