She has wings, so she is Pixie..."evil", possessed Pixie. I assume she is using her "Soul Dagger" on Kurt.

I am so grateful for tight superhero costumes right now.

Anyone else think that's kind of an unjust thing to do to Kurt? It's not exactly like he wanted that Soulsword.

Yes, the spandex is nice, and yes, Kurt getting stabbed by the Soul Dagger is unjust...however, what I do not understand is: Why would it hurt him? I thought the Soul Dagger, Sword, et al, could only destroy evil spirits?

Meh, it's preview art, so you can expect exactly two things: 1. It's completely out of context and no matter how much people theorize about it, the final reason behind it will be completely different. 2. The person in a life-threatening situation will most likely not die.

Something that I find weird: I thought only "dark" pixie has the soul dagger. You know, with the bride of Frankenstein hairdo. Here she's the normal pink-haired girl.

I sure hope Kurt gets to fight with the sol sword during this event, that'd be cool

Nah, I've seen her yank out the soul dagger later than when she was dark pixie. But yeah, interesting cover.

Because of the angle, I can't tell if it looks like he has 'tail growing out of ass-itis' or not.

(a) I am definitely getting old as I had to open the pic up again to observe buns which totally escaped notice before,

(b) yes, the tail looks to be situated incorrectly as perhaps artist has not studied the Cockrum drawings which specifically state where in his physiology it originates, and

(c) I've seen better (buns).

I haven't seen too many buns better than that, but I am willing entertain the possibility that they exist.

Being quite a connoisseur of tails on buns, I would say that they were cutting it real close on where the tail is coming out from the spine. I think they made it come out right at the end of the spine, instead of the usual *waves fingers around* "right around the base" area of the spine. I have to say it's still luckily too high to be coming out of his butt, so that's at least a plus.

Not that I look or anything. I'm basically an asexual person. Except when it comes to Hubby.

While I get the 'tail out of the ass' worries, I have to say that tail positioning that he's got here makes the most sense to me as a continuation of his spine. Not that one can get really technical or into phsyology without your brain breaking, but it just...works better.

The tail is fine. It originates from exactly the right spot.

I think Colossus is a dick, but apart from that these first few pages sure step up to the hype. Lots of interesting action and the status quo is explained properly though not too lengthy. Can't wait to read this!

That seems to be Kurt's role of late...he pretty much gets dumped on in every appearance...it's seems EVERYBODY'S better at everything than Kurt is...why do you think I haven't been logging in for such a very long time (I've merely been lurking)...when it comes to comics at the moment, I'm not a happy Nandi, not a happy Nandi at all.

But yes, from what I read in the comic store, I pick through and wish I hadn't. He's slowly becoming the joke. The way Luigi is now. Or the way that Flash became over time.

What I don't understand is how Pixie can teleport faster than Kurt. He should be able to bamf several times while she's still gibbering whatever incantation it is.

Perhaps she can teleport a lot further after she's mumbled her gibberish?

I was annoyed when she showed up in X-Men...I didn't know who she was but as soon as I found out she was a teleporter...I quietly growled to myself...plus she's got wings!

Marvel wouldn't let Kurt have multiple powers, despite him being a pure second generation mutant and therefore it actually making some kind of sense, so they took them away by ignoring them...but it's perfectly fine for characters that came after him to have multiple, unrelated powers and secondary mutations.

I think they consider the whole agile and tail and coloured fur and teleporting as multiple powers

But yeah, Steyn is right. Furthermore, him crawling over walls kinda an extra power too.

Mind you, all of that is still more cohesive than what pixie has going on *stabs her*

Or the White Queen...

How does turning to diamond relate to telepathy? At least she can't use them both at the same time...
