I'm bumping this thread because it seemed like the place to put this:

Once again, we are ignored. I intend to post until Joe Q. deigns to answer us.

I thought "deign" was the perfect word to use in this instance: "To condescend reluctantly and with a strong sense of the affront to one's superiority that is involved."

Deign is the correct word, without the sarcasm even.

That Joe Q is still using myspace lowers him in my opinion a little, I will admit that. At least he doesn't force everyone who reads his blog to listen to his current favourite song, I guess.
