I just got word that there will be an announcement made at this convention:

http://www.nycomiccon.com/app/homepage. ... D=46836307

My understanding is that it will be good news for us Bamfers!

Chris Claremont responded to a question I posted on his website.

Sorry, I misunderstood the question.

I don't know who will make the announcement, but I see that Joe Quesada will be there.

While I have much love and respect for a lot of what Claremont did in the past (and by past I mean 25 years ago), if this is an announcement that he'll be taking over something to do with Kurt I don't think that's good news at all.

Well, that'd be something I'd be indecisive over.

On the one side I think it's always better for a character to stay around in a book, because the writers change, and it might get better.

On the other side, Claremont has the uncanny talent to totally fuck up a book and make it un-salvageable.

I'm iffy on claremont. early stuff is pretty good and his early excalibur is also.
xtreme x-men started out good but eventually went into the toilet. also they've been tending to give claremont artists that i'm not so fond of.

i'm hoping that claremont's heard something in the grapevine. Alan Davis has been doing one shots and such so maybe he'll end up with crawler, esp since Davis it has been said that Kurt's a favorite of his. Davis really evolved the character so it would be cool if he both wrote and drew.

I could go either way with Claremont. When he's great, he's freakin' brilliant, and when he's bad, I just wonder what he's been thinking, but one thing's for absolute certain- he's not mediocre. This should be interesting.

Maybe he's going to be the new Black Panther...just about everybody seems to be up for that job...

Wouldn't he be the Blue Panther then? Navy Panther?

...the new Black Panther is supposed to be female, though.

Come to think of it...*goes to make a topic*

Well...whoever writes it and whoever announces it, I say it is a good thing. We are not going to lose our Kurt. Anyway, I need some entertainment to give myself a temporary break from reality.

I did wonder if this was Mr. Q's way of stopping that annoying, fanatical and weird old lady (me) from bugging him with questions. LOL!

Joe Q fears nothing, not even the fires of brimstone in the bowels of hell. Mephisto is his buddy :shifty

So that's what's happening to Nightcrawler. Joey's getting back for that panel full of awesome when Nighty punched Mephisto.

You know, the whole punching-Mephisto thing comes up WAY MORE OFTEN than you might think on the gamefaqs comic discussion boards. (Like, any time anyone talks about Spiderman and Brand New Day...)

At the risk of sounding disloyal to the Webhead ... at least Crawler had the sense to deck the devil!

I second that one elf dame. :thumbup:thumbup:thumbup

Fuzz and Spidey need to meet up again and exchange some stories. Then Kurt can whack Peter on the back of the head.

:tail :"IDIOT!"

:spidey : "Ow! WHaaa!?"

Ok, iI just want to be optimistic here.
As long as Nightcrawler doesn't disappears in Limboes, I might get interested by the turn of events.

After all, the elf didn't have any shining moment since his solo title's end...
So let's have faith, people ! :)

And thanks a lot, neling4 ! :)

Or rather, he did not have enough shining moments. There was that time when he was recovering from a gunshot wound and electrocution, and he still proved himself more capable than Wolverine and Colossus combined of taking out Omega Red.

Could Pixie do that? Huh? Huh?!
