Nightscrawlers

Remember the Fox X-Men episode with the Kurt/Mystique revelation? I always thought it was weird they did that in the show because most people didn't know who Nightcrawler was, and in the show, Nightcrawler had only met them once.

...and it's all going SO WELL until Kurt pipes up with "...and our Lord God and Savior will forgive your SINS, Mutti, and welcome you with open arms to the Kingdom of the Blessed!", whereupon Mystique, riding a wave of nausea, ventilates him with one of her Random Huge Pistols.

Where DOES she hide those things, anyway?

Actually, I think my niece solved the Mystique/pistol storage conundrum today when she observed, "She's a marsupial."

Easy.

(Which would also account for the disappearing cell phone trick Mystique pulled when un-becoming Henry Gyrich in the X-movie.)

(But which doesn't provide much insight into what Kurt might keep in HIS pouch. I'm thinking gummi worms, Listerine strips, a Dunkel-Dunkel longneck, and a spare extra-starchy priest collar. Wow: what WILL he and Mystique have to talk about in their upcoming encounter...? "Ach, Mutti! My strips are all linty--!" BLAM--!)

As for the Mystie/Nightie meeting, I hope he forgets all about god and kicks her ass to kingdom come for what she did to Moira, Sean, and lots of other people that were dear to him. Yeah!:evil:

He could always kick her butt in self defense... I mean all he has to do is show up and she's likely to get violent..

i dunno about that. she is a homicidal maniac, and definately not a nice woman. and considering she tried to gut rogue, this may have changed. but... she always had a soft spot for Kurt. never willing to hurt him at all, not allowing her Brotherhood to harm him. and in X-Men Unlimited she let herself fall to save his life.

I dunno if Kurt has it in him to hurt Mystique. What I mean to say is she is his mum!

Now I'm seeing this thing go all "South Park" on us: "WATCH OUT, KURT! SHE'S COMIN' RIGHT FOR YA!!" (whereupon the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch and a strategic BAMF! come into play. Ahem.).

But here, someone implied this was to be a flashback. Not to go into big spekklatin' detail about what Mystique and Kurt knew about each other years 'n' years ago, but frankly, to quote Deborah Harry, "I don't like flashbacks in movies/I like the story to proceed." It would be much more interesting, and challenging (and, hence, Marvel won't do it) to have our rattled-of-late blue boy have a "cozy" sit-down with his morally ambivalent (the D'n'D terms might fall somewhere between "chaotic neutral" and "chaotic evil" at this point) mom.

Deborah Harry is cool!B) Also I definitely agree! We need real answers, not the same old recalls we've seen over and over (it seems)!:rolleyes:

I dunno about him hurting her -I doubt he would- but I do think we will be seeing a lot of kurt angst in the coming issues:(

angst... we ask for fuzzy flirtations and we get angst... maybe if we employed a bit of sarcastic reverse psychology here.. (ie: "Oh yeah! We LOVE Kurt as a priest! Are you and idiot!?")
