I'll ask Slarti or HM. No promises though.

Alright, I'm not sure how much anyone actually reads or posts on this forum anymore, but I thought I'd mention that UXF #24 throws in some important background information on Kurt Darkholme and also really starts to etch out the kind of man he is.

I read this forum, though I temporarily stopped reading UXF. Has the art improved yet?

As of this issue. MUCH better now, and you can actually tell what is going on.

oh ok, I might look into it then. Did they get a different artist or were Tocchini's pants not on fire when he drew it this time?

Phil Noto drew it. He did a great job, but I'd still like some explanation on why this Kurt's eyes are red and what happened to his fangs. It also seems that Darkholme is older than Kurt Wagner, with the way he is drawn, and the comment from Otherworld about not being a young man anymore. They have done the same thing with AoA Jean in her new title...adding age lines to the face.
Re: AoA Nightcrawler (Darkholme) in Uncanny X-Force Teaser I
This title typically has a different artist for each arc, or 3-6 issue chunk of a mega-arc. The styles and colors are usually somewhat similar, so it's not as jarring as it could be. Still, Tocchini was odd.
IIRC, around 10 years are meant to have passed since the AoA anniversary mini. I don't remember how much time was supposed to have passed between the end of AoA and the mini, though. That could explain why the age thing. Kurt's eyes are an anomaly, though. They were yellow in the teasers. Maybe they got him some contacts like the special red lenses built into the masks of X-Force costumes? I think I'll just pretend that's the case to make myself feel better, even though it requires ignoring that his eyes were red when they first met him.

I've been pretending that Darkholme has allergies to explain away the red eyes.
Re: AoA Nightcrawler (Darkholme) in Uncanny X-Force Teaser I
The red eyes appear to be intentional. In the preview art for #25 there is a photo on the wall where he is pictured, and the eyes are still red. May have to do with what Remender commented on about not confirming one way or the other yet if Sabretooth is AoA Crawler's father. http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page ... e&id=38335
