Woah! :shocked When did THAT come out? I know I've been out of the loop for a while, but MAN! I never thought they'd put THAT on the cover :naughty What in the world would make Nighty do that, anyway? Did Logan wake him up in the middle of the night singing drunk and off key, or what? (as you may be able to tell, I haven't read the issue at all....)

Maybe it's a carry over from #429. ^_^

Maelstrom- Wolverine 6 hasn't come out yet. Number 3 only came out last week. So keep your eyes peeled for it. The series is actually quite good, and the art is amazing.

Thanks, Blueberrymuffin! I'll be sure to look for it now. Is this supposed to be a miniseries, or is it open-ended? There have been so many Wolverine series, and some of them... well.... Let's say the artwork truly sucked.... :ick

this is the ongoing Wolverine series. when the new creative team of Darick Robertson (Transmetropolitan) and Greg Rucka (Queen and Country) came aboard, it was decided to re-bood the numbering of the series back to 1...

i don't think we ahve to worry much. though Wolverine is his favourite, Nightcrawler is a slose second according to Darick, from what he tells me. and it was his idea to have NC guest star, and he seemed quite excited about what Greg had come up with. still the cover is odd...

Adding to what Bamfette said you can read the solicitation for that issue at Comics Continuum:
WOLVERINE #6

Written by Greg Rucka, penciled by Darick Robertson, cover by Esad Ribic.

"So, this priest walks into a bar…" A self-contained issue featuring Nightcrawler.

32 pages, $2.25.

(* Stand-alone issue starring Nightcrawler).
"So, this priest walks into a bar…" :LOL:LOL:LOL:LOL:LOL

I just hate buying comics form a store because people who know me see me as the nice little girl (23 years old) that would be interesed in Disney because that is where I work) Yeah... no. I loved Xmen ever sice my mom told me to watch the cartoon because she remembered the comics back in the day.

You work at Disney? On Alameda? I work at Warner...we're neighbors.
I have that same problem though, I always get funny looks even at the comic store (not so much since I'm back going to the one my friend owns) but I just always felt really out of place. Funny how people just assume certain things about you cuz of your looks.

so, from what it looks like in the preview panels of 429, it doesn't look like there is going to be much dialogue. Any thoughts on if this might be the case for most of the issue......

That Wolverine #6 pic is currently in the Image Gallery Caption Contest. I'm going to have to get this issue I want to know WHAT is happening here.:shocked

Logan looks REALLY annoyed and pissed off. My guess is, either it's a frank discussion over some "guy" thing, or a case of "oops, didn't know anyone was here."
And though they tell you I am lost
and their words report my death is come

yah i know what you mean, whenever i go into my store im always the only woman there and i get so embarrased when i see all the covers with pictures of naked women on it (which strangely this is the opposite but still the same thing). i feel like ive stepped into a porn shop:X sometimes.
one time (cant remember which issue it was) they had a picture of stacy on it ,barely covered with logans' uniform. i wouldnt buy it (or see what was in it) i was too grosed out.

if he's supposed to be a preist in this why does the cover show him naked then?

... well, he's NOT a priest anymore...

and besides, priests do get naked on occasion. they do have to shower ;) being naked doesn't automatically have to do with sex.

um...wow :surprise That could be taken as rather slashy....It's not something I'd expect to see on a cover or in the comic for that matter.

I like your Marauders sig LadyBamf. I hate going to comic stores and having people stare at me when I try to look at a comic with something gross on the cover. It's hard not to these days....

I wasn't mad, i was jsut saying... people in the US are often far too prudish about nudity imo. there's nothing wrong with it, it is natural... now certain SITUATIONS while nude can be... um... well, not suitable to be shown in a book intended for a general audience. or if the depiction of the naked (or near naked) person in question is quite obviously intended to be arousing. but this, while it is a rather unusual looking situation, isn't exactly sexually charged by default, nor is it intended to be arousing. is is a man, standing there, mostly in shadow, shown from the back. quite tame. i have more 'racy' things on my homepage in the lifedrawing section. :p

fyi, the Stacy X issue, perfeclty harmless. the nudity on the cover was intended to be symbolic, as Stacy was stripped down to the core of her PERSONALITY that ish. she never got naked inside the book once.

maybe marvel are just trying to make all you nighty fan girls happy (and a smaller number of fan boys)? :lick, or maybe paty went up and got out her big red umbrella and demanded more male nudity after she saw the emma frost crotch shot?
