In the Shadows

Post by Red Muse »

I just bought a certain CD, and this CD had a quite suitable song for good ol' Kurt.

In the Shadows

No sleep, no sleep until I'm done with finding the answer
Won't stop, won't stop before I find the cure for the this cancer
And sometimes I feel like going down and so disconnected
But somehow I know that I am haunted to be wanted

I've been watching, I've been waiting
In the shadows for my time
I've been searching, I've been living
For tomorrows all my life

They say that I must learn to kill before I can feel safe
But I, I'd rather kill myself than turn into their slave
And sometimes I feel that I should go and play with the thunder
Cause somehow I just don't wanna stay and wait for a wonder

Lately I've been walking, walking in circles, watching, waiting for something
Feel me, touch me, heal me, come take me higher

I don't know about you, but I think this is a song for Crawler^___^!

The band is called The Rasmus, and the album was Dead Letters.

-Cheers

there are serveral songs what *fit* our Kurti
some where mentioned before...im not shure if they where in the LOST TREADS.
I got no daubt its a fitting song for you. But the problem is that the *fit*lays in the eye -or in these case in the ears of the one who listen, the musicpreferences and the backround and in the way how the audience believe kurt is.
Proberly would fit for me more a positv text. The next see him as a romantic - a bit oldstylish guy and would say some opera song may fit and so on.

ich will alles sehen
ich will einfach wissen wie es nun weitergeht
will die Welt verstehen

ich will alles sehen
ich will einfach wissen wie es nun weitergeht
will die Welt verstehen
ihr könnt mich nicht halten
ich lauf euch eh davon
weil ich vom Leben nie genug beokmm

This would be proberly mine;)

Gah! I can't read German! I used AltaVista though, and from what I could gleam from that song, I do in fact think it fits Kurt. Nice, jogurt! Let's hope I can find it on KaZaA. :)

I also agree that Kurt songs are all in the eye and ear of the listener. It makes it interesting to see who thinks what song fits the 'Crawler, since usually opinions and personal interpretations are so different. :)

And Red Muse, that's a good Kurt song as well. People seem to pick out the full-spectrum of Kurt personalities, from the goofy to the dark to the doubtful to the optimistic. I love this stuff!

I also loved that music thread... maybe this will be its continuation, if people still want to do this. :) My first Kurt song pick would be Raining in Baltimore by Counting Crows. I know there are others, but I can't think of them right now. I look at Baltimore as being sung by him just as he leaves the circus for good. He gets away from it as far as he can, but in the end he just wants to get back home.

The lyrics are here, if anyone's curious:

I also happen to have saved a bunch of the suggested Kurt songs, because I was planning on downloading them all. The ones I wrote down were:

Deliver Me - Sarah Brightman
Iris - Goo Goo Dolls
I'm Still Here - Johnny Rzeznik
Subdivisions - Rush
People are Strange - The Doors
People are People - Depeche Mode
Crystal Clear - Jackie Velasquez
Sonne - Ramstien
Hourglass - At the Drive In
Prayer - Disturbed
An Evening With El Diablo - Chevelle
Bring Me to Life - Evanescence
Seven Nation Army - White Stripes
Hold on- Good Charolette
Best of Both Worlds - Van Halen
Seven Nation Army - White Stripes
Seven - Prince
Rest in Peace - Extreme
God's Comic - Elvis Costello
Cry Little Sister - Gerard McMann

Sorry if I missed anyone's!
