I have always preferred opposable digit

Alan Davis once said (though I can't recall where) that Kurt's rear toe is like a big toe pulled all the way to the back of his foot. (That's why, in Davis's drawings, you can see a nail on that toe.) Just think of splaying your fingers and stretching your thumb back toward your wrist.

An apposable toe, digit, thumb whatever! Like a monkey!:laugh:!

i;ll say its a complete history! there's stuff I've never seen! :o , stuff i've often been curious about, (ie: how did Kurt get injured in the morlock massacre, or wake up from the coma) and a comics list!!!!!!! yay!

I always thought of it as a toe that's grown out of the heel. Even if you splay the big toe like a monkey it wouldn't look like that 'cause it's jutting out of the heel. It's just a grabby thingie.

Well I didn't say he IS a monkey, just that he's similar to a monkey only in the sense that they also have an apposable digit on their feet whether it stems from their heel or not (also they have prehensiled tails, and they are usually furry as well as acrobatic, but that is totally beside the point). Truth be told, I don't even like monkeys all that much.. but I love Nighty!:D:love:

-Well, no not really, I think I tried to explain this to Bamfette once, she said she got it, but I believe I deleted the tread. It's a heal, that well... bends/curls. You want an example, parrot is good, but Owls (most likely barn owls) are a btter example. i think it's 3 toes, he is often drawn with a toenail on that back toe, and it has joints. 'tis a toe.

in the icons only the first two have nails... and so does the heel of an owl... what the hell why are we arguing about this, who cares! Marvel says it's three toes, there fore it's three toes. They got the artistic talent, writing talent, and the money to back it up, so I give up, it's three toes. Science sucks, I'm going to be an actor.

Just as long as they aren't using the "thousands of tiney suction cups" line for explaining his clinging ability anymore. That was just dumb. I mean, he wears gloves. That wouldn't work.

I always thought Marvel says he has two toes. I've just called that a toe because it looks like one, but you're right Bamfman. It is a silly thing to argue about!:laugh: I don't really know if all this would be considered arguing, but I do think maybe we're putting just a little too much though into that heel appendage thingy!:laugh:
