Translation Question

Hey in exiles 29 (part of the uncanny x-over) we have a (to short) conversation between Kurt and TJ... Was curious if anyone had a translation for kurt's lines...

Nocturne: Dad!
Kurt: Vas?
Kurt: Verdammter Mist. I knew I should have been more careful.

Of course, it also raises the question of who exactly Kurt should have been more careful with...

Verdammter sounds like 'verdammt' whihc is damn, so he was saying 'Damn --------!" and i have no idea if 'mist' means something or not in german as the only German i know i learned from Kurt. Was 'Mist' capitalized in the comic?

yeah it was capitalized in the comic... sounds like the writer maybe made some spelling errors in the german?
