OH Eww! Eww eww eww.

Those are some of the ickiest pictures I've ever seen! Thanks for putting those up, Shoshin. I wanted to see them and now I have.

I am once again thankful to God that I am not a smoker.

*cocks head* Odd: I thought a "furry tongue would actually look... furry. Those pics look more like mold than anything else. But a better ad against smoking has never been seen.... :eek

It depends on the overgrowth of the papillae - those tiny bumps on your tongue -actually.

If it gets bad enough, it can 'wave in the wind' so to speak.

I'm sure that's TMI. I'll shut up now :evil

Okay, I hope those "fur tongue" pictures don't give me nightmares! :ech:

Anyway, about what Hiloway, said, I agree that you shouldn't try to be something you're not, but it's fun to just try a different look out, once in a while, as long as you fess up if asked, "Is that your natural color?". ;)

Vala: "Isn't this my room?"
Daniel: "Noooo… your room is across the hall… with the… guard in front of it."
Vala: "Ah yes, they do all rather look alike don't they? Anyhow, Since I'm here, shall we make the best of it?"
Daniel: "No, we shalln't."

In an issue of U. x-men
(can't remember what issue, but just before prof. x got his new body)
he refers himself to storm as having a silver tongue

Also in other isues he is shown having a lesser shade of blue on his tongue (possibly silver?)

I believe he is refering to a having a silver tongue to mean that he is a sweet-talker and charming, who is talented at flattery. I don't think it means his tongue is actually silver colored.

Anyone have an OED and can check on the origin of the phrase?
