I read somewhere that Kurt's musical tastes were stuff like Third Eye Blind, Bare Naked Ladies, and the like.

I think this nonsense. Being German, I think Kurt would dig Techno, wouldn't you?

Aside from that, his personality doesn't seem the type to chill out to BNL...just my opinion, though.

Maybe if you are talking Evo-Kurt, possibly.

But Chuck Austen was asked that question a while back and he was quoted as saying Comic Kurt prefers classical music, the Romantic classics like Bach and Pachelbel's Cannon. I wonder if he also likes Mozart.

Evo Kurt: I hear everyone saying that evo Kurt likes Barenaked Ladies and soundtracks to movies. Is this true? I'm not sure. Hey, we did see him having fun at a rock concert.

I've heard that comic-crawler likes classical stuff and music from shows (being a movie buff you'd kinda expect that).

I can imagine Kurt listerning to Wagner.

Hmm, something like that. Classical seems to fit Kurt nicely. I can see him sitting there listening to Bach!

For EvoKurt, for some reason I think he would like techno...but thats just me.

I see movie Kurt liking classical as well...seems so fitting!

I'm sure that Evo Kurt's more likely to go for happy, poppy stuff. He's a teenager, after all. I agree that it seems silly for comic and movie Kurt, though. Classical does seem more likely for them.

Evo Kurt may grow into liking classical later on if he's enough like his comic counterpart. Give him a few years.

I was under the impression that comic Kurt was known as a Beatles fan. Haven't actually seen anything in the comics to say one way or the other, but then I'm still busily plowing my way through back issues of Uncanny thanks to the wonders of The Essential X-Men volumes 1-4.
Hey, he's German, doesn't that mean he should like opera - at least Wagner? After all, what's the use of a good stereotype if you never drag it out and use it?
Also, Evo-Kurt could like Techno and classical and the Beatles and opera. They're not mutually exclusive after all. Just a thought.

Well, I'm pretty sure that the whole Beatles thing immerged from Internutter's fics... and many fanauthors picked up on it, you know?

I don't know, we could ask her, but I've seen the Beatles thing in comic verse fics by people I somehow doubt have ever bothered watching Evo or reading Evo based fics, but I could easily be wrong. Actually, thinking about it, it seems much more reasonable for comic Kurt to be a Beatles fan just because of the era in which he was introduced and his age at the time.

In reality, no one listens to only one kind of music, so he'd probably listen to a variety of stuff. Classical, techno, classic rock, whatever. What I can't see him being interested in is country/western, and never in a million years Marilyn Manson or NIN
