1. Does Kurt have a middle name?(probably a stupid question)
2. In X-Men annual number 3...(I think)...Nightcrawler's Inferno...I'm just wondering why the message(poem thingie...) on the gates of hell was written in English. Just a RANDOM thought...

As to the other bit ... I don't know. I haven't read annual 3 but (in general) why shouldn't the message be in English? If you're going by Jewish ideas the gates would have a message on in Hebrew, but most of the writers draw on loads of different influences. And languages in general are the way that people communicate; not angles and devils. If it was a message (and as I have no idea what it was, if it was too anyone in specific, I’m just theorizing randomly here) to someone then it’d make sense to be in a language that they’d understand. If it was a message to all then it may just be something that all people looking knew, but through the medium of comic’s is best depicted in words for the reader.
Or they might have got lazy and just gone with the language the reader understands

also keep in mind it wasn't REALLY hell, it was merely an illusion created by Margali to torture Kurt. she would naturally choose a language he could understand.

Yeah, it should probably have been written in German since it's his first language and even in an illusional hell, the messages of pain and torture would be intended to be understood by the person they are the focus of.

Since the hell in UXM Annual #4 is based on Dantes Inferno, Italian would make even more sense.

Bu then its' main buyeers, english speakers, wouldn't be able to understand it, and it'd irritate them.
