hmm with that in mind it sounds like he and Jimaine are going to be doing things in Limbo again.

I am so very very very happy now.:D
I'm moving cities between now and September so I only pray that they've got a comic book store which will have it in stock at my new home.:dance

As much as it makes me happy to see a scene from NC #1, it makes me sad also. Here we have a beautifully drawn page, with Nightcrawler crawling up the wall, it is the fact that I will have to wait till september to figur out what exactly is going on *sigh*.

You torture me, Darick.

Darick, that is an incredible piece of art. The more I see of your work, them less patient I am for September!
Sail away where no ball and chain
Can keep us from the roarin' waves
Together undivided, but forever we'll be free.
So sail away aboard our rig
The moon is full and so are we,
We're seven drunken pirates
We're the seven deadly sins.

I love the shot of him crawling down the wall, especially the little grin he seems to have. The inks really do look great, which, I was just thinking, is rather important for a character like Nightcrawler, who's got the perpetually darkened features bit going on.

It looks great!

Saw this at your site earlier, Darick. It is, like all of your work that I've seen thus far, excellent. I love the detail and proportions, the expression, everything. I'm looking forward to this book more and more with everything I see. Thanks so much for the preview!

Roberto's line (and the reason I gave him the smirk) has Kurt saying "...And now for my best Spider-man impression".

Mid 80's work

Postby Darick » Sun Jul 25, 2004 6:07 am

I just posted these on my forum, and I thought that I'd share them with you all here.

Further evidence of my long time fascination for the Elf.

Still one of my favorite Nightcrawler pieces from that I did from that time.

These pieces are ones that I haven't seen in years, until I unpacked my 12 year old portfolio recently.

Thanks!

I do commissions sometimes. Usually at cons.

Lately, I've found the autograph lines at busier shows are so packed that I am just signing the whole time.

But last year's Vegas show was slow paced, so perhaps this year!

Thank you for posting a "before and after" so we could see what contributions the inker makes to the finished artwork.

I'm looking forward to the first issue. Not that I'm begging for September to arrive ASAP. I still want to enjoy my summer, y'know? :P

I think it's fantastic that he's considering swords. It just wouldn't be right if he didin't.
