No, really. Devil's Coach-horses are a type of beetle here in Blighty, which are about five centimetres from tip to tail. They have a relatively short body and a very long, flexible abdomen, which they can curl over their bodies like a tail. They look pretty gross, and to make matters worse, before I moved rooms in my house (long story, don't ask), they would sometimes crawl out of the walls and scurry across the floor (the oldest part of the house is around five hundred years old, so we have beasties living in almost every nook and cranny. It's fun... if you like that sort of thing).
Long story short: the codename would be great, for the simple reason that Kurt also has the knack of hiding in shadows, and he also looks like a demon. Okay, okay, it's a bit simplistic, but look on the bright side: "nightcrawler" at least sounds better
