Nightscrawlers

These lead-ins to huge wars can take time, especially with a lot of things going on behind the scenes. I just wanted to take a moment and appreciate the fact that Mephisto himself thought Kurt was enough of a threat to try and bribe him to stay out of the following conflict.

Not so impressive? Fine, let's review who was there as well who was not bribed:
Wolverine.
Emma Frost.
Magik.
Psylocke.
Colossus.
Shadowcat.
Beast.
Storm.
Cyclops.
Polaris.

Mephisto views none of these mutants as much of a threat as Nightcrawler. Now that's cool. I will accept that as an ending.

I will also rate the punch to the face (those that've read it know which one I'm talking about) as one of the top 5 most satisfying punches to the face in comics. The panel preceding it was the perfect set up.

And am I the only one who noticed that the page with the word "Longshot" on it is the one where Kurt's luck finally takes a turn for the better?

Heh.

... and that's why this ending is so cool.

I think Kurt is the key to ending the war that why the forces of evil want him to step down.

Even Korn fans have to wait for a happy X-mas along with Nightcrawler 12. I am happy with the whole comic I loved the art and writen.

Oh sorry I was happy about Korn's new album and Nightcralwer been out a the same time :o it was wired but fun to get the things I love in the same month.

Hello everyone . This is my first time posting although I’ve been lurking around for a few months. Today I got my last issue of “Nightcrawler” and thought it appropriate to say something. Let me tell you that I absolutely LOVED this series; The Elf is by far my favorite x-man. Although I jumped on the Nightcrawler train very late (in the middle of the Winding Way) I still feel very sad to see it end.
The last issue was amazing, a great ending to a wonderful series. It was sad, funny (those balloons at the party…hehe priceless), riveting, and over all just keeps me begging for more even if I know “more” won’t come for a while, but I’ll be waiting.

Is it my imagination or has there really been no posts here since December 18th?

When's this coming out in TPB, anyway? I'm missing 1 and 8, and not finding it in the stores, so I figure I'll get caught up with the TPB.

I bought issue eight at Midtown comics like a week after it came out, but there were plenty of copies left.. maybe try ordering it off the site?

I have a question about somethink.

In the end of comic 8 and in 9 you show Bavila castle were Kurt was born close to Der Jarmark why?
was it intentional?

I don't recall drawing a castle where Kurt was born. I drew Limbo, at the beginning of #9, and at the end of 8 I used the reference from Cockrum's issues of X-Men for that village where Kurt was hunted when he was introduced...

By the way- I just noticed that Kurt says in issue 8, he grew up in the Black Forest, but the Black Forest isn't located in Bavaria but in Baden- Württemberg (west of Bavaria).: (But I don't really mind.)
And they also mispelled Feuer, the fire-eater, by leaving out the second e. (I can only guess what a native speaker must face sometimes when he has to read Colossus' Russian...)

What came out of Nightcrawler's mouth was not my department. The expression he had on his face based on what was in the script was.

And Sir Darick...Love your stuff!! You did Kurt justice! My favorite panel is in ish#7 and the Jack Sparrowesque Nightcrawler!! How much for an autographed copy, HMMM????

there is a another castle in there at the end of 8. Logan and Nightcrawler are looking other Der Jarmark and in the distance there is a castle.
(Every one look for it.)

I think still looking into Kurt's past Sabu should of been there. Even though he's dead now. Thank you Margali Szardos.

But on that subject - did you just come up with that wardrobe, or was it at least partially inspired by what Nightcrawler wore in X-Men Evolution?

This is all me, pencils and inks, with Matt Milla's awesome coloring.

That's why it says "Friends - creators - Nightcrawler" right up at the top there.

There are a number of professionals that visit who've worked on various Marvel endeavors including Darick Robertson (who drew the above and penciled the 12 issue solo book), Chris Yost, one of the writers on X-men Evolution, and in his very own forum Dave Cockrum - Nightcrawler's creator. We've even gotten some Marvel editors here to chat and answer questions a couple of times.

Then there's the rest of us hacks who like to draw and write and dream about breaking into the industry but don't have a snowball's chance in hell...

And we're all hanging out here on this forum because we're friends and we like Nightcrawler...

Hello! I am new here, and I hope I am posting this in the right place.

I have a question about issue #11, which I recently found in a store which sells new and old comics. This is my question: Is that meant to be a halo behind Kurt's head, in the panel where Kurt is holding Hive, and Hive is saying to Kurt, "There's so much you don't understand, mutant. About who you are..." I know it is the full moon, but was it meant to be symbolic, and if so, of what? And, what does Hive mean by, "...who you are..."?

Also, what is "The war before End-Times"?

Are these dropped plot lines, or will they be picked up by Marvel writers later?

I realize Mr. Robertson isn't posting here anymore, but is it possible to pass my questions on to him, somehow?
