One-eyed Nightcrawler???

Hey all. Got a question for all the Nighty fans out there. I was looking for some pics of Nocturne to read up on her and I saw a pic with her and Nighty and....Nighty had an eyepatch. Could someone explain how Nighty lost his eye in the Exiles comic? Please tell me he lost it in battle and it wasn't just some infection.

I am not sure if it was ever really explained... he never lost it IN Exiles. It was missing in the picture that inspired the character of Nocturne, long before Exiles started...

I'd like to see an explanation for that, too. The most likely story I can think of (tragic accident while foolishly fencing without a mask) is woefully dull. And while my favorite blue elf may be reckless at times, I don't like to think of him as a klutz.

:o only when he is in that costume-He probably felt he had to do something to make up for it...
That particular costume he wore for a short while in Excalibur, and that is regular continuity. The eyepatch in the Exiles continuity is not explained and may be a nod to that whole "pirate" thing he has going sometimes. Also, he was quite bald. Now how can that happen in a furry guy?
