I wanted to hug and kiss and pat Logan when he saved Kurt.

Thank you for posting these! And yeah, they were some really great Kurt moments - I'm very happy with the way he's currently being written.

That's not normal for them. They're toked up on the drug that the canadian group alpha flight uses. It's apparently what helps :colossus get around. He is, according to ultimate-verse, not strong enough to tote around his metal body.

When Jean read his mind (which she had no right to do) and yelled at him for it, the other X-men, behind her and Logan and X's back, got together (the ones you see on the cover at least) and agreed to help Colossus out and get Northstar back from Alpha Flight. Scott came into the barn just as Colossus was preparing to leave and he told colossus that they were a team now more than ever and he was going to help him. Then he also made the point that he doesn't "trust Jean anymore." Since her phoenix-y scare.
So this is gonna get interesting I think.

Also, that is not Ultimate Beak. That is Angel in his "Banshee" drug-induced mutation.

There are spoilers here, if you are interested:

He came back to life.

According to Shenarchy on the Marvel forums, Jean "reset" everything at the end of the Apocalypse arc.

I so enjoyed his part in the latest uncanny - 499. Smart boy - colussus and wolverine getting their butts handed to them and NC saves the day again. He's been portrayed really neat these past issues - using his smarts and being heroic. Pretty awesome.

What is the latest Uncanny X-men issue?
Is he a demon or an angle? A hero or a Villain? A saint or a sinner? No matter what he choses he is still the same blue fluffy elf that we all love.

love_of_bob wrote:Well, I liked him better in the one-shot than in Bru's other issues, but then, it was a scenario where his compassion (the one trait Bru knows to give him) was sorely needed. I appreciated seeing him holding the traumatized mom in his arms, bamfing people to safety, praying for the babies and even comforting Angel.
Especially with the others just walking around saying "damn it" and looking like an ad for cologne.

Plus, Kurt and Logan boxing = fangirl points from me.

Bru loses points, though, for the "What do you mean?" line. Exposition is one thing, exposition at the expense of a character's intelligence is quite another. Booo.

I wouldnt feel to bad about how brubaker wrote Kurt. He wrote all the X-men bad in the book, especially Polaris, she only had panels with Havok! He just isnt a good writer, lol.

He gets a few good cameo moments and you want to say that this is better than alan davis excalibur Kurt? it's def. better than what we've seen in quite awhile (sad considering that this is for only a few pages) but he's had some good moments since Cockrum. At the very least (not counting Davis Excalibur) there was a solo story in X-men Unlimited by Bill Willingham (Fables) that's pretty cool.

It's not getting very good reviews, but Nightcrawler has an issue in X-men: Manifest Destiny #1. I don't where in continuity it falls, seeing as how I dropped Marvel for the most part with the Civil War and House of M debacle. :rolleyes

I haven't read it yet, but he is up to something...:P

We have not one, but two threads where we discuss this book.

The whole last page of this thread is like, well, like something not very nice. I know what I want to say would get deleted, so I won't say it.... THE PAIN!!!

Here are the two threads:
one of anticipatory suspense, and the other begun my the author of the "Manifest Destiny" one-shot.

There's also one (with link to some pages) discussing Kurt's booty-kicking prowess (and other booty-related topics) in the most recent X-Infernus.

Happy reading; looking forward to your joining in the discussions.

Sooo... what exactly is Kurt doing now?

I haven't read any new comics since June... mostly because my friend buys my comics for me (because I don't know where the comic book store is. He's not nearly as into X-Men as I am, so I always end up missing a comic or two. Gotta start buying my own comics) and he was gone all of June and I've been gone all of July...

So, without telling me too much, where is our favorite Fuzzy Elf now?

Right now, Kurt does some stuff in X-Men forever, and Uncanny First Class at the moment is centered on him. Too bad he's not doing anything in Uncanny lately.

Woo! Nightcrawler kicking butt.

Now why can't they have him do that in Uncanny?
