"...S'kinda c-cold out here...don'cha think...?" says a nudey-tooty Logan.

I like that mini-series a lot, too.

Here's something I remembered several days ago and just today had the gumption to look up: Uncanny X-Men #150, about 20 pages in not counting ads, first panel. Kurt and Logan are scrambling across some apparatus in Magneto's lair, and Kurt says,

"By the way, Wolverine, are you prone to vertigo?"

"I'm prone ta survival, bub. I'll manage. 'Course, if I do fall, I'll make sure that the first thing I grab is your tail."

"Promises, promises."

That made me snicker.

That was funny. And I'm having a major deja vu moment. Was that quote mentioned in a different thread? Maybe it was a differrent site.

Here's one I totally forgot about. During Claremont's last run on Uncanny, when the group was fighting the Fury. Logan drops out of the plane wearing a strange device that looks like a hubcap with spider legs.

Logan: Strap on, Elf. No way do I look this silly alone.

Kurt: I think it's cute.

Logan: You think too flamin' much!

Kurt straps on so they're back to back, and then they proceed to rip up the Fury. It was so cute. :LOL

:blush That deja vu moment was my doing. I cut and pasted that post from my post at Marvel because I was being lazy.

I have a new one for you all! I don't think it's been mentioned yet. Just got to read X-men #80. It's about the false X-men and takes place right after Kitty, Kurt, and Piotr have officially returned from Excalibur. Kurt was injured previously (Uncanny X-men #360) and Logan finds him and Piotr in bad shape. So Logan bandages Kurt up and gives Piotr hell for not looking out for him. Then there's a cute moment when a feverish Kurt calls Logan "Kitty," to which he replies, "If you call me Kitty again I'm going to break my rule about slappin' around furry invalids." Then he continues to snap at Piotr, and everyone else who crosses him too.

It's adorable. :love

(I responded to this and something ate my post. Boo.)

I remember that issue! The art was horrid, but the sentiment was squee-worthy.
X-men #106 also had this tiny little moment when an injured Kurt teleports him and Logan into a building and Logan takes the time to help Kurt sit up against a wall since the 'port exhausted him. A small gesture, but very caring.

Feuerstein,

I was wondering about your former icon or avatar. The one with "Heads or tails" and Kurt and, I believe, Colossus in it. What issue was that from? It doesn't look at all familiar, but the artwork reminded me of Olivier Coipel.

My former icon was this:

Up in the corner is Gambit and Wolverine. It's from some issue when it was just the two of them and lots of enemies, so they decided to scare the enemies by dressing up like various X-men and making it seem like there were actually many of them. It's hilarious; they through costumes on and off. The last panel, after Wolvie's been Beast, has Gambit suggesting Wolvie stick a tail on his bum and be Nightcrawler, which doesn't go over too well with Wolvie. :LOL Unfortunately, I'm not sure which issue that's from; I got the pic from scans_daily and turned it into an icon.

The pic underneath is Kurt from Uncanny #448. That one I do know, because I have that issue. ^^-

Its from the Gambit 2004-2005 series. It was absolutely hilarious. I can't remember for certain, but fairly sure it was #5. (I'm just too lazy to haul my butt upstairs and look.) If you really want to know though, let me know and I'll find out for you.

That whole series (1-12) was a good read imho, but in particular 1-6. But then I'm a Gambit fan, so there you go.

Thanks Feuerstein and Fourpawsonthefloor.

I have heard of that Gambit arc with Wolverine and I have UXM#448 too. I found that panel. It's another trip through the sewers with Ororo, right? No wonder it looked like Coipel art. It is Coipel art!

Thanks love_of_bob! So...why doesn't Logan want to dress up like Kurt?

Because some things are just sacred. :worship
Besides, who could ever measure up to Kurt in the Kurtness department?

What about UXM#406 where Kurt and Chamber are in the X-Jet when it explodes? I could have sworn they thought he was dead until they found him an issue or two later.

He also dies for a couple pages in Excalibur (....#17?) but is resurrected (along with about half a dozen other people) by Meggan and Rachel. Seriously.

People do a lot of dying and coming back. Kinda takes away the suspense. So much for the five stages of grief... if you just stick to "denial" long enough, your loved one will come back! It's like Miracle Gro!
