The Marvel Cinematic Universe is just the beginning - talk Marvel on the big screen, small screen and everything in between. DC Cinematic Universe and independent comic creations are welcome, too - The Walking Dead, Preacher, etc.

Check out the article: "To keep the Internet geeks from spoiling the surprises, all these movies are being made with more secrecy than Dick Cheney’s energy meetings. When Alan Cumming emerges from his “X2” makeup trailer outfitted as the mutant Nightcrawler, the Scottish star wears a hooded cape to thwart paparazzi....... But Cumming may have the toughest job. He has to endure as many as 10 hours of makeup to play the is-he-bad-or-is-he-good Nightcrawler. To pass the time, he watches videos in his makeup mirror, which poses a challenge with subtitled films. “I couldn’t understand the whole plot of ‘The Red Violin,’” he says...... though Cumming, who shot to fame as the raunchy emcee in Broadway’s “Cabaret,” does flash us one tidbit. “You do get to see my nipples once,” he says. “But it’s just a glimpse.”"

Obiviously, I picked out all the good bits. :D
I meant unrealistic, Slarti. But it looks interesting.

Well, I'm still saying this pic is overlit or something but for the rest it's ok. I think it is mirrored though; Cumming's nose should be asymetrical toward the other side . (hey, I did some thorough looking at it, and I had to notice!)

Also, what do you people make of the background?

Well, there's moulding on the walls, and the other background object looks like those fancy upholstered box valances you see on some windows. He's up awfully high, or that's shot from awfully low. Actually I think he's up on furniture or something... maybe jumping?

Maybe it is the White House and after he's been discovered he bamfs to a corner up on a chair or something and this is his attempt to look scary before he bamfs away.

a very successful attempt, I might add. From what I've seen from previews and read on the script on AICN I'm willing to bet it's the White House. it's the curtains, they are so very White Homely. And it's the neo-classical ornamentation. This defenitely doesn't say "Xavier's School", at least not to me....
As for the angle, it's odd. It's not right for sticking to a wall, and not lively enough for a jump. he must be on something. Ah, the joys of speculation...

I agree that he is possibly in the White House. I think that maybe this is where he is about to attack the secret service agents. I can’t wait till the movie! I think Alan is going to do a good job on Kurt.

he probably just got done bamfing. That's it, maybe it's not neccesarily a straight from the film pic, it could be some rando undercover newsweek loser taking pics, and trying to hurry it up, so lot's of perfect lighting does not get taken into account. hmmm nice pic though, thanks typohn. (keep it up) oh, and anyone check out that entertainment weekly pic yet? WHOO! that is a great site, all sort of good pics!

Maybe its just before he bamfs outta there.

I liked the pic. I think its important to remember that its probably without the usual studio magic. When the pics came out for the first film, they were nowhere near as good as on screen.

i noticed Elwing, since i saw the first pic i checked his nose don't look as big it supposed to be, it looks more defined and small. First i think it was the blue make up but since you brought the subject i thing "why not?"

And it's the right way! Man, Alan's crooked nose is going to drive those filmmakers crazy...they flip film all the time.

Definitely pupils. Otherwise poor Alan would be blind. Looks to me like MovieCrawler's eyes are much like EvoCrawler's.
