Dream House Movie Review

So I just went to see that new movie Dream House with Daniel Craig, and I didn't read any reviews before hand. That was a big mistake, as the movie was not what I expected at all, and not in a good way. The previews make it looks like a horror, but it actually is listed as a "suspense thriller". This is not fitting, as the suspense didn't really feel suspenseful, and there was really no thrills. Daniel Craig never got to beat anyone up, and it really never showed anyone getting attacked at all, and definatley not killed, which is what the entire movie is based on.

Summary (SPOILERS!!!):
A man, (Daniel Craig), quits his job as an editor to go and write a book in a little suburban town with his wife and two kids, 8 and 5 years old. He finds out that a family was killed in the house five years ago, and when he investigates, he finds out that HE is the killer, and his family is already dead. After interrogating his dead wife, he finds out that he didn't kill them, and then the person who killed his family walks in with the neighbor across the street's husband. Turns out, this random person who killed his family was hired by the husband across the street to kill his wife, and the killer forgot which was his right and which was his left. So, the man chloroforms Daniel Craig and HIS wife, (not Daniel Craig's), and puts them in the basement, and starts to set it on fire. So ghosty-wife wakes up Daniel Craig, and he crawls away, and when the man tries to find his, ghosty-wife shakes some wind chimes to draw his attention and gunfire to the other side of the room. This is the entire extent of her ghostly powers throughout the entire movie. Daniel Craig and the other man's wife escape, the other man dies along with the random guy he hires, and he fianlly gets over the fact that he is insane and writes a book called "Dream House".

-END OF SPOILERS-

One Word Summary: Disappointing

So, overall, not that good of a movie. I say don't waste your money on it, ESPECIALLY if you want a horror movie, because if you do want to see a good horror movie, just wait for The Woman In Black, whose preview was the scariest part of this entire movie-going experience. The fact that me and my friend almost fell asleep during it should show *just* how exciting we thought the movie was. Thriller, huh? I don't think so.

I'm not reading this because I'm seeing the movei tomorrow.

I'm disappointed to see you didn't like the movie, being I've had some high hopes for it. The writing seemed intriguing, I enjoyed the concept presented in the trailer, and I'm a big Craig fan. Also Weisz. The two together are just great (they're married y'know?).

I'll let you know my official feed back after tomorrow.

EXPECT 4 REVIEWS! Including this! And REAL STEEL!
