The Marvel Cinematic Universe is just the beginning - talk Marvel on the big screen, small screen and everything in between. DC Cinematic Universe and independent comic creations are welcome, too - The Walking Dead, Preacher, etc.

ok, i was rewatching the movie the other day, and couldn't help but notice what kurt says when he is with storm after they teleport and see the girl with the different color eyes-remember that scene?

ok, well storm is about to make it absolutely freezing , but he says "im not going anywhere". why wouldn't he leave if he knew it was going to be freezing? and in a few seconds after that he is so cold, he bends down on his knees...
so was wondering with this "im not going anywhere" quote, it could mean several things...what are your interpretations?

I think the "I won't leave you" should have been left in the English version. It sounds a bit more personal :D

Yeah, I think that would sound better. And it shows his devotion to helping people and especially to Ororo. I think its a very sweet part, that he would go through pain to save her, and humanity at that....

Oh I dunno, I always found French to sound rather nasal anyhow.

Now, Italian is pretty. So is Spanish, if spoken with a proper Castillian accent.

IMO, french spoken by women is beautiful, but spoken by men is snobby sounding. Italian is pretty, and Hawaiian are pretty languages. I like Indian too. I love to watch movies I know well in other languages.

German sounds cool, but it ain't romantic. :B

BTW, there are literally over a hundred languages spoken in and around India, and none of them are called "indian."

The french version is alot better for that scene...and how the heck did this thread go from "I'm not going anywhere" to "I vant a German accent"?:LMAO
since it got there anyway...I think I'll learn myself some German so I could at least speak it...and if that never happens...I will move to Scotland. I know they speak English there, but they speak so fast it's almost a different language...and it turns me on :naughty*PEOPLE FROM SCOTLAND ARE SEXY MAJOR*

It's cute that Kurt is having clingy feelings towards Storm (I'm not going anywhere- is that a stalking curse?) but obviously their relationship will never go beyond friends:nodyes, since I laid my claim on him a zillion years ago! :pant

I like to think he was being brave, rather than any feelings for Storm.

Ah, interesting topic. I just started my drama classes on their new project: "Accents for the Stage" where they have to research an accent and present a scene as a character speaking in that accent. When helping them learn, I use myself as an example. Last year I did Irish. This year...German! It's been fun, and I've enjoyed getting to show scenes of NC from X-2 as part of my German examples. I think German has a wonderful sound to it. Most of my students only thought of German as having a rough, harsh, military sound to it, and I thought Alan Cumming did a nice job bringing out the tenderness and emotional inflections of this wonderful accent. And my students love hearing my speak in it!
