As per Esy's request in chat last night, here's another movie Gambit avatar, this time Remy being all bad ass while things go splody-boom. Hope you like it hun. :)

EDIT - Okay, so I'm bored waiting for the latest delivery at work so I figured I'd mess around with the icons some more and make them 100 x 100 ... 'cos that looks neater and presents the possibility of captions and the like :shifty

I think he will be scarred. That's part of Deadpool. It's like taking the fur away from Hank McCoy, or giving Storm black curly hair, or letting a hairstylist have a go at Wolverine's unruly quiff. He MUST get the scars. Even if they don't add it in the Wolverine movie, they should at least have it in the Deadpool movie. Hopefully they show Deadpool getting his scars in the Wolverine movie, seeing that that's the place he got the scars and all....at the weapon x project place.

.....*takes deep breath*

I'll put my faith in Marvel and convince myself that even though Wolvie has his claws, Gambit's lack of red and black eyes are merely because they haven't filled in the CGI or lenses or whatever it is yet....

yeah... that's a *little* worrysome that his claws are done... granted, they're probably "prosthetics" but still... they'd have to cgi some of it, probably.

*takes her own deep breath*

however, I can say that I WILL walk out if Gambit's not right. I don't care how much I love Taylor. I'll buy the freakin' movie when it comes out, but I'm not sitting through it if he's not right.

Don't worry, the eyes will be right, the only reason why they had Logan's claws and not Remy's eyes done was because eyes are so much easier to do with CG than actual 3D objects like claws. That's why the claws got more attention.

edit: Check out the storming the beach picture, I like how Victor and Logan sticks out like sore thumbs, while the rest look so average. No beards or scars or remarkable facial features, just background extras. Heck, I think Liev and Hugh's faces were enhanced too, because the rest has that desaturated look, while theirs were a tad rosy around the cheeks.

My friend saw the trailer (in theaters for TDTESS) and I asked him if Gambit's eyes were red in it.

He says no.

:shrug
Here it is ... Not that you haven't seen it yet. He's right though. They're not.

Yeah, the debate has raged on in the 'gambitguild.com' about that. At best there's hope that they'll either explain it as him using contacts to hide them as he's in a public area or that they'll show them change when he charges stuff.

It's dumb, but what do you do?

Yup. Like paws said, old news. ;)

There's also a thought that his eyes will change during the movie and become red on black. I personally hate that idea because Remy was born with the eyes. That's what gave him trouble his entire life and why Jean-Luc took him in as a kid.

Also a thought going around that his eyes will change when he uses his powers but he's using his powers during the trailer and his eyes are normal.

The one about he's wearing 'normal person' contacts is the best thought so far, I think, because the only shots of him in the trailer we see are in a public place. the ones outside the casino (or whereever) happen right after, I think. He's wearing the same clothes.

because even scarred and fat, Kurt was still demon enough looking to not change the things in his background that helped shape who he was. if they mess with Remy's eyes, they're going to have to come up with a new background for him. most of the key things in his past revolve around his eyes.

(Dragging off-topic as I usually do) 'S okay, Freak, I don't care for non-fuzzy, stupidly-scarred unathletic Kurt either. I mean, there were some good points to the portrayal, but I always tell people not to judge 'Crawler by the movie.

Thank God for fanfics.

(And now, back to our regularly scheduled topic ...)
