I have to go to school and I am so f*cking done with school.

To top that off, I'm going to the doctors which means I bunk out of one of two classes, both I need to be there for.

Oh, and then tomorrow I FINALLY get some breaking-fluid, but I gotta get up way too damn early to do it.

And then on top of it all, I don't like being late to school... *glares at G/F*

My husband was laid off from his job and we have no income, no health insurance, no Christmas presents for our children and one day, perhaps...no house. We are forgoing all expenses that are not necessary.

Neling, no amount of words can stress the sheer sadness I have for your situation. I hope, dare I say pray, that this will be resolved. I know for a fact that Rhode Island has the lowest job rate, and that other states are taking in employees, though I agree, during the holiday season it will be incresingly more difficult.

Do not lose hope, do not become disheartened however, for I know you are a good person from simply your posts on this board, and I know that this country, even when it doesn't seem it, acknowledges good people. I feel tremendous amounts of shame that this country has allowed these thing to happen but I have confidence it will change.

There are very few things I can say besides what I have said besides how tremendously shocked I am. I hope things pick up and we all love you and we'll be here to talk if (and when) you need to come on.

Also, try state jobs. I'm discovering good things (I also have been terminated recently).

I'm losing my voice, and I slept through... well, all my classes which probably killed my participation grade. Also have a bibliography due tomorrow, and I don't have all my sources yet. ><

My husband was a librarian for a public library and the state is cutting back on funding for libraries. He has been surfing the internet to find another job in our state. Hopefully, he will find something soon.

My paycheck is another day late, enough of my students ducked out of class before paying the monthly fee to leave me unable to afford to pay the studio rent promptly, and I have more bills coming due.

I might as well not even have a job if they're not going to pay me.

At least my husband can make enough to cover the mortgage while substitute teaching, so we're not in any danger of bankruptcy or losing our homes like so many people around us are.

But I finally snapped when my kids, oblivious to how unusually tough this year has been for most everyone, were going on about all they want for Christmas, not getting the gentle hints I'd been dropping about Christmas being "not about getting" and how we have to cut back.

Landlords suck. My situation sucks. Everything sucks. Sitting for two and a half hours in sub-zero conditions waiting for someone sucks. Catching a frikking cold because of it sucks. Punching a wall and breaking a knuckle again because I got frustrated again sucks.

Really, really wanting to strangle someone sucks.

Everything hurts, painkillers not getting rid of migrain. Wanting to let loose on someone and not being able to.

....

Life kinda generally about sucks. Not doing much with the whole 'wanting to give up' thing.

While the good news is that I was allowed to take a free trial lesson in Brazilian Jujitsu, the bad news is that 24 hours after being twisted into various kinds of pretzels, I'm still sore.

I have my trial Muay Thai lesson on Friday.

A very good thing I have a massage therapy gift card I've yet to use!

The father of my longest-standing friend (let's just say we've been together over 3&1/2 decades) just died. And she wasn't there b/c lives a few hours away. Knew it was coming but not so soon. *sigh* He was a really interesting fellow, and I am not sure how her mom will hold up. I have a feeling my shoulder will be wet with her tears for quite a while....

The bad news about Mr. Ange's new job- it's not permanent, comes with no benefits, and it's in freakin' Alameda.

Ah well. Silver lining time. The kids have never seen the bay area, and I have some fond memories. We'll make a point of visiting as often as we can hack it until he gets a job closer to home.
