Astounding: One cat is gone. The old one. Got shipped back to dad's. A fairly "unhealthy" environment for the cat as it has been described to me, but the dad loves the cat, feeds her at the same time, and takes care of her. Also there's no territorial, young, developing, kitties around.

I just had probably the best Easter ever! Got a decent four mile walk in the morning, followed up by chocolate bunny coffee and lemon/almond muffins for breakfast. We arrived for Mass plenty early and got good seats. Mass got out, then...

... off to a fire! Thankfully, it was just a field burn that required our help with containment and structure protection, and I was back in time for Easter dinner still smelling like smoke and sweat and grinning from ear to ear. I love my job! The only way the day could have been better was if Mr. Ange was home, but we're counting down the days. It'll be about two weeks now!

Beijing was cool, but too many people in the subway. Hong Kong however, they're only over packed with people in the subway during weekends or during rush hour times. Having a blast and coming home on Tuesday. Got so many awesome new toys, like my acer tablet, roccat gaming keyboard with backlighting, roccat gaming mouse, and roccat 5.1 surround sound headphones. Peace!

I'm sending up my hopes and prayers for good weather across the US midwest for a reason more personal than my general concern for peope's safety and well-being. Mr. Ange's project in Michigan ends this week, and he's coming home!

Events of this day caused a bit of inconvenience, stress, and heartache, and someone is in huge trouble. Why, you may ask, am I posting this here? Because I did not want to respond to a mass casualty incident today, and the school shooting/bomb threat turned out to be a hoax. Yay! Once again, nobody died on my watch!

I have lost 13 kg thus far in this year. That's 28.6 lbs, or 2 stone as some Brits call it.

While it's always scary to see a cyanotic baby, it's a completely special kind of cool when the airway clears, baby screams, and then a few minutes later, baby's pink and laughing at my silly grown-up babbling like nothing bad had just happened. That was a couple days ago.

This day's barely started, and it's already looking like a good one. Read the newspaper and saw articles about a local cow giving birth to healthy triplet heifers and a boy who, while playing superheroes with his friends, got a chance to be a real hero. And I'm getting back into mountaineering- for a cause! More on that later.

Had such a great weekend with my family. Mum laughed and cried at all the right times and I got to spend some quality time with grandad because we were always up early before everyone else so that was really nice The little kids are the funniest people alive and I love them to bits. So glad I got to go

There isn't enough astounding coffee. So: I had my measurements taken and a pair of trousers and two shirts made. They fit very nicely, are well-stitched, and look very nice. And all that only cost around 15 Euro. Next project: Spider-Man costume

I got Matthew two pairs of flipflops for $5. Oh, and he didn't pick out ones that were hideous!

My kids, like many kids in the year of Hunger Games, Avengers, and Brave, took an interest in archery. My husband, who also has fond childhood memories of bow hunting and archery practice with his family thought it would be a good activity for all of us, too. This might be in the ass thread, because I spent all my life thinking I was a horrible archer.

In one session with a leftie bow and a coach who understood and accepted cross dominance as opposed to trying to force me to do everything with my right hand, I was hitting more targets at greater distances than I ever did shooting right-handed.

I got my new powersupply yesterday. It's even more quiet than the one that died on monday.

Mr. Ange is facing more job uncertainty, but he's not as anxious about it. The time we spent scrimping to help me continue my education while he was laid off is already paying off. My employment may not pay as well, but it's looking more secure.
